Celebrating my husband’s birthday dinner at Brasserie Mon Chou Chou last night. We enjoyed two perfectly crafted cocktails at the bar before being seated for our dinner reservation. It was a packed night so dinner reservations are a must. My husband had the Old Fashion and I’m glad I tried the Canard Dore Sazerac because it was nothing like I’ve ever had before. Both cocktails were top notch. Our server Colleen recommended the perfect starter the Raclette & Baguette with prosciutto sliced ham. We paired two glasses of red wine for our meal as there was a large selection of wines to choose from. My husband loved his Ribeye & Frites and also ordered a side of the baked Mac and Cheese. The steak was ordered medium rare and was exactly as requested. The Truffle-Ravioli was amazing! We had a wonderful experience but the cherry on the top was how personable & kind Fabian the restaurant manager was as he came to our table and we told him how we loved everything. We discussed that we were looking at traveling to France in a few months and Fabian provided several tips as he was originally from Eastern France. We will certainly return to Brasserie Mon Chou Chou for some delicious meals, wonderfully crafted cocktails, beautiful quaint atmosphere and excellent customer service!

We truly enjoyed our first visit! The ambiance was calm, quiet, and wonderfully relaxing. Our server, Isaiah, was knowledgeable and offered great menu suggestions, which led us to order the ribeye and the warm goat cheese salad—both were delicious. The manager and the rest of the staff were equally friendly and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. We will visit again when we're back in San Antonio!

Brasserie Mon Chou Chou – Review I had an unforgettable dining experience at Brasserie Mon Chou Chou in the Pearl District. We started with the Salade de Chèvre Chaud, and it was an absolute standout—easily a 20/10. The warm goat cheese was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced with the greens. Next came the Chariot de Fromages with three exceptional cheeses, served alongside a fresh baguette. Another 20/10 moment. Every bite felt like a small trip to France. For our main courses, my daughter ordered Le Steak, and I chose the Aloyau de Bœuf. Both dishes were cooked beautifully—tender, flavorful, and plated with care. A solid 10/10 for the mains. Overall, Brasserie Mon Chou Chou is absolutely the place to go for a special occasion or simply to treat yourself and your loved ones. If you’re in San Antonio, this restaurant deserves a spot at the top of your list.

Drinks are always excellent. The short rib was perfectly tender and flavorful, the oysters were fresh and delicious, and the scallops in that lobster sauce were absolutely out of this world. We came to celebrate a huge milestone, and while I’ve always loved Mom Chou Chou. It’s one of my favorite restaurants in San Antonio. I was extremely disappointed with the service during this visit. Nonetheless it was still a good experience.

I end up eating very healthy and fresh, the cous cous and the salad was very very nice, for a French place the fries were very normal, and the almond latte was good. However, its been a long time that I haven´t seen such a speciest menu, offering so many different parts of cows and so many different animals, extremely cruel. There is no need to eat tongues from cows not whole snails, the taste does not worth their whole life, not very humane. This type of places should start switching to a more healthy, cruelty-free plant based meals... and reducing or even avoiding serving animals.
