  We actually showed up a day early to our reservation and the Manager Fabian worked around and got us in that same day and we are so grateful to him. Our server was wonderful, don't remember his name but he was a ginger man who took very good care of us! The food was wonderful the St Jacques A La Chou Chou was one of the best Apps I've ever had. Wonderful place, will definitely come back

  The service from the minute you step in is superb! Our waitress was great and the management staff is doing a great job. The 3 star only comes from the food. The potatoes and French toast were not that good. The potatoes seemed like they were just sitting over the warmer. They were very crisp and hard on the inside. Warm but not really edible. The French toast was a disappointment they need to use other bread. I think it’s ciabatta and it was so hard to cut and chewy. I ordered it for my 2 year old and we couldn’t even cut it with the butter knife I had to use my hands to tear it apart. The ambiance takes you away to another place and we loved it, sitting outside watching the birds with great weather. My omelette was the best thing and my latte. Both were very very delicious. I would come back just for those two items.

  The food was excellent. I had the pork shank with gnocchi and the entire meal was savory and delicious. Additionally the crème brûlée was a perfect 10! The entire meal and experience was a perfect 10. The price of the food was fair and balanced for the quality of the meal. Now, what is unique is that I really and truly enjoyed the iced tea. The iced tea was organic and of an exceptional quality and was definitely steeped for a deep rich flavor. My waitress name was Jennifer, I must give credit to her because she gave me recommendations for both meals and dessert and she was on point every time and she had a wonderful personality and I just want to thank her for everything.

  What a disappointment this place is. First of all I want to say the bar staff is amazing and so kind and knowledgeable. They got all of our items correct for us and answered all of our questions honestly and sincerely. You could tell the team got along well and had a lot of fun working together which you want to see when you're at a bar. The frantic French manager we could've done without. Walking behind the bar rudely making snide comments of saying inappropriate things then when the bartenders laughed or chimed in he sushed them saying the guests could hear them when he was the loud inappropriate one getting in the way of them. We made sure to take care of the staff as they took great care of us but we will not be back because no employees this good should be treated like that while working so hard. The food we were recommended was amazing but the original things we tried to order we were told they didn't have. I know we happened to just stumble in on Valentine's day not realizing the holiday but the way the staff and management at the front area just dismissed us to the bar was very unprofessional and rude. We wanted to sit at the bar anyway but being told you don't have a reservation the bar is the only place and it's just open seating isn't very hospitable. Won't be back til we see a change of management on our weekly walks through the Pearl.

  While we had a great experience at the bar with Taylor, the hostess and manager really dropped the ball. It’s Valentine’s Day, it’s busy, we didn’t have a reservation. However, the weather kept a lot of people at home, there were several empty tables and wait staff standing around plus we arrived at 11AM right at opening. My wife and I were told that we could sit at the bar and it was open seating and we had no issues with that. We sat down, but I made sure to give the waitstaff room at the end of the bar to receive and finish off drinks. There was an empty stool there, but sitting there would put me right in the path of the staff trying to wait on customers. There were three other couples who came in and they all chose to put an empty stool between the couple next to them. In the middle of our meal, the hostess came over after direction from the manager and asked us to move down so they could accommodate another couple. We had been sitting there the longest and again, were right in the middle of our meal-actively chewing. No one else was asked to move and even Taylor, the bartender, made apologies for how that was handled. While we have always had great experiences at Mon Chou Chou and the food is exceptional, it will be a long while before we return, if at all. This experience was certainly avoidable.
