  Review of Newk's Eatery Visit: Saturday lunch (April 18th, 2026) During my recent Saturday lunch visit, the most noticeable issue was the food quality, particularly the soups. The sodium levels were extremely high, to the point where the salt flavor overwhelmed everything else. Excessive salt not only affects taste but also raises concerns about preservation, as salt is commonly used as a preservative. The consistency of the saltiness from visit to visit suggests these soups may be prepared in a way that prioritizes shelf life rather than freshness. Overall, the meal felt more assembled than prepared, with ingredients appearing pre-cut and pre-packaged rather than freshly made. Equally concerning were the management practices observed. There appears to be a conflict of interest with the general manager’s spouse also serving in a managerial role, which can undermine trust and professionalism. More troubling, the general manager was observed raising their voice at employees during busy periods. In a customer-facing environment, leadership should remain composed and supportive. Additionally, managers frequently seemed disengaged, often on their phones instead of actively supervising operations or assisting staff. The restaurant heavily promotes its food as “fresh,” yet most items appear to arrive pre-prepared, pre-cut vegetables, portioned proteins, and ready-made soups, leaving staff to assemble rather than cook meals on-site. While pre-prepared ingredients are common in chain restaurants, marketing them as fresh without clear context can feel misleading to customers who expect in-house preparation. Overall: This location shows clear signs of inconsistent food quality and questionable management practices. Until improvements are made in leadership professionalism, food consistency, and transparency about preparation standards, it is difficult to recommend this restaurant with confidence.

  employer was quick to grab my food for me, food was still warm when we got home and it was very delicious.

  The food is decent at best. I had forgotten my cup and when I went back to ask for it, I was going to be charged a separate $3+ My meal alone was $12.99 before tax. Never eating here again.

  We have eaten there twice and both experiences have been very good. The food has been good and the customer service has been excellent. My only complaint is that they don’t seem to have enough people working so the person working the order counter often has to go help in the cooking area which can be disconcerting to someone walking in for the first time and having to wait for someone to come up there. Overall, it was a good experience and we will definitely go back again. We ate there again and the food was really good. Their supreme pizza with cauliflower crust was delicious and paired well with one of their salads. Have had nothing but good food and good experiences at Newks
