We were standing at the counter, credit card in hand, the male cashier rung up the purchase, and then turned and walked away from the counter and went toward. the drive through window. Without saying a word. And no-one took our payment. We stood there for a while, and finally another cashier appeared. He did finish the transaction. Meanwhile, the first cashier reappeared, and he didn’t seem to think there was anything odd about leaving customers standing at the counter without finishing the transaction. “I had something to do,” he explained. I told him that he did indeed have something to do, and that was to finish waiting on a customer. He said again, “But I had to help somebody.” At that point it became obvious that none of the teenagers running the store at that time had the least clue about customer service, and further discussion seemed pointless. But note to the owners: Your staff is not well trained. And not one of them even had the wit to apologize.
