Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
I went here and I ordered a regular chicken sandwich. I come home and take it out it turns out it was a spicy chicken and it wasn't even cooked right whoever was working Friday April 4 2026 3:00 needs to be fired or needs to fix how they cook because this is unacceptable. Fast food places like this needs to get there act together and heath inspections need to start coming more often. The manager needs to keep an eye on their workers when stuff like this is happening. Never order from drive thru here since you won't be able to see what there doing. Going back to the sandwich it looks raw and is raw like straight out the freezer someone, like me, could get salmonella from this.

This is easily the worst Whataburger in the metro—no competition. The service is painfully slow, the staff comes off rude and uninterested, and the overall experience feels like no one there cares even a little. What’s even worse is the food doesn’t come close to making up for it. Long wait times might be forgivable if the quality was still there, but it’s not.
Whataburger used to set the standard—fresh, hot, made-to-order burgers that were actually worth the wait. Now it feels like a completely different place. The food is inconsistent at best, often cold or thrown together, and nowhere near what made the brand great in the first place.
It’s honestly disappointing to see how far it’s fallen. What used to be a go-to spot is now a place to avoid. There are too many better options out there to waste time and money here.
