  "Normally", Saltgrass is my favorite venue for celebratory dinners. Last week's visit however, had more than a few negative issues which resulted in a two thumbs-down birthday experience. Once my Caesar's salad was served, it was less than two minutes that my prime rib arrived to our (party of 4) crowded table. No time or table space to enjoy the salad. My initial cup of coffee was barely warm, as were two subsequent re-fills. The 16 ounce prime rib actually had more fat/gristle waste to trim away than there was edible meat remaining. A truly disappointing evening.

  This has been my favorite restaurant for 5 years now specifically because of the amazing prime rib and their amazing customer service. I have only had an issue 2 times in the 5 years. Each time it was taken care of so swiftly the wait staff and or management goes above and beyond to do right by the customer, the frustration inside didnt even have enough time to surface in my tone or expression. The way they hire, train and operate is superb. A lot of restaurants should take notes. Love this place!

  From the moment we sat down, Daniel our waiter made our entire experience incredible. He was friendly, kind, and had the best personality. Drinks stayed full, laughs kept coming, and he made sure everything was perfect. Plus, he looks like Bad Bunny, which is a bonus! We honestly would drive 2 hours again just to have him as our waiter. That’s how amazing he was! Stop by and see him at Round Rock - Salt Grass!!!

  I recently visited Saltgrass for a client dinner meeting. Overall, the environment and atmosphere were great - very homey, down-to-earth, and country in the best way. The vibe made it easy to have a comfortable business conversation. Our server (I unfortunately don’t remember her name) was fantastic - very interactive, attentive, and helpful throughout the evening. The food was okay - not the best I’ve ever had, but solid. My biggest issue, however, was the number of bugs. There were fruit flies and flies constantly around our table. Almost every minute we were swatting something away, which became distracting during both our meal and our conversation. Especially at night, it seemed noticeably bad. I’d definitely encourage the restaurant to address the bug situation, as it takes away from what is otherwise a pleasant dining experience.

  Alexis was are server tonight. Very poor service! Waited on her many times while she stood chatting either with other servers or at the kitchen. Had to flag down a manager to check us out and grab a box we asked for before our bills were even brought out and wasn’t given. Both our partners ordered steaks. Both medium well. Both came undercooked. Did the girl who dropped off the food and take it back apologize? No. When our server asked how the food was and she was made aware. Did she apologize? No. Did the KITCHEN MANAGER who brought it out apologize? Nooo. We shouldn’t go to to a steakhouse and pay as much as we do for undercooked food AND bad service. If the service would have been handled better the steaks would have not even been a bother because it happens. Poor service from our server the entire time and from management ruined this experience. Do better.
