Traveling in a fried-out Kombi On a hippie trail, head full of zombie I met a strange lady, she made me nervous She took me in and gave me breakfast And she said "Do you come from a land down under Where women glow and men plunder? Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder? You better run, you better take cover" Buying bread from a man in Brussels He was six-foot-four and full of muscle I said, "Do you speak-a my language?" He just smiled and gave me a Vegemite sandwich And he said "I come from a land down under Where beer does flow and men chunder Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder? You better run, you better take cover, yeah" Lying in a den in Bombay With a slack jaw and not much to say I said to the man, "Are you trying to tempt me? Because I come from the land of plenty" And he said Oh, do you come from a land down under? (Ooh, yeah-yeah) Where women glow and men plunder? Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder? You better run, you better take cover, 'cause we are Living in a land down under Where women glow and men plunder (yeah) Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder? (Thunder) You better-better run, you better take cover Living in a land down under Where women glow and men plunder Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder? Ooh, yeah You better run, you better take cover Where women glow and men plunder Can't you, can't you hear the thunder? (Can't you, can't you hear the thunder?) You better run, you better take cover Living in a land down under (living in a land down under) Where women glow and men plunder Can't you, can't you hear the thunder?

What can I say this was a wonderful meal. I went there on veterans Day and outback steakhouse went out of their way and made me a beautiful steak meal with a salad, a steak and a baked potato and a cool drink all a while. I sat next to other veterans and had good conversation. I truly enjoyed my evening there. The bartender because I sat at the bar was wonderful. I made her charge me for my mushrooms on top of my steak. She didn't want to but I made her so that I could give her a tip in which I tipped her heavily. She deserved every penny. I had a wonderful meal. Thank you out back steakhouse for recognizing us veterans. This veteran surely did. Appreciate it. Sincerely, Joseph Hall of Hutto Texas

I've been to outback several times, but not recently and I'd be hard pressed to return. We went on veterans day for the special free veterans meal. It came with a soup, salad, entree and cheesecake for desert. Cup of soup was small but good. Salad was ok too. The steak however was without doubt the worst I've ever had. Though it was cooked medium rate, it looked terrible and was really tough and tasteless . The 6 Oz sirloin didn't look like a steak, but more like a miniature pot roast. Looking back I should have asked for another, but hindsight is 20 20. Desert was another disaster. Cheesecake was offered but they ran out. We were asked to wait until the manager returned with a new supply. We waited a while then had to leave so I asked for a substitute, willing to pay the difference for something higher priced. I was told no substitutions. We got a card to return and get the cheesecake at our next visit. So no cheesecake for me, and this veteran thing didn't work. Overall, we were very disappointed since it's been good in the past and generally gets good reviews.

Great meal on day before veterans day. Service was great. Thanks to all who had a part in the making of the meals for Veterans. Thanks to the Owner of Restaurant, Whom I heard Was also a VET, Thanks to the wait Staff whom I am sure were overwhelmed by the amount of Veterans who attended and Kept a Smile on their Face.

Food was good but waitress at the bar was atrocious. I’m surprised she has a job there. It’s Veterans Day and she had zero respect. Food and drinks were delayed and with an attitude when asked about it. That’s unacceptable. Even when I asked for a check she deliberately ignored us to take orders and made us wait 15 more minutes. We were at the bar with ten people. Not exactly rocket science. I will never visit this establishment again. I prefer Texas Roadhouse now
