What is HEB doing to help everyone who is struggling this holiday season??? Do they realize that so many people are now not going to be able to afford a holiday meal let alone a full month of groceries? I checked to see what I could find that was affordable for my family and noticed that some prices even went up. There weren't even any good coupons during this tough time. Small town food banks are running thin if not bare. I wish they could realize the reality that a lot of their customers are going through right now. I bought beans rice and ramen to last us through the month. I hope my kids will eat it. I went to the food bank and they gave me canned salmon and things that they wouldn't eat. I wish something would give its heart breaking to see your kids not like the taste of something and not want to eat all that you have. I am someone who works hard and never gets a day off. Sometimes I wish HEB could bring their prices back to what they used to be before they tried to be a high end name. This is a retirement town we are penny pinchers. Many people are making 16$ an hr or less to try and keep these establishments open. Rent is not cheap here. I wish we had an Aldi or something so that way my family can eat a normal meal every day of the week. That would make everything better.
