You don't get a plate to eat on but they do give you a piece of paper. The sides are so so. The only reason for the second star is for the staff. Its not over priced if the food was good.

- MLMike LambertNov 4, 20253.0We went to Rudy's for barbecue on Monday November 3 at about 11:10 am. We have been eating at Rudy's for many years since the first Rudy's opened in Austin Tx. We expected to find fresh meat hot out of the pit at that time of day. I ordered turkey sliced thin, and my wife ordered brisket. When I took a bite of the meat I realized it was cold and dry. My wife's brisket was lukewarm at best. We asked for the manager and told him the meat was cold. He scooped it up and threw it in the trash and went back to the register. I followed him and asked for a refund for the meat since it obviously was not fresh. The manager entered something in the register and handed me a receipt for out drinks and my potato salad. The total amount of the original order is still showing in our bank account. He never said a word or offered an explanation. We will not visit that Rudy's again.
