- TTTia T2 days ago1.0Edit: Thank you for your response, but there is no need to reach out because I know it will continue to be an issue no matter what. I will consider other options and if I do curbside at HEB, I will just make sure to double check my products. I normally do curbside and I just keep getting disappointed. I have lost count how many times they have given me spoiled fruit. And they NEVER pay attention to the notes you put in. It’s so frustrating. It seems that they have other vendors picking some of your products in some way, from what I have been told. That is fine, but they should at least check the quality. Just for example, this is a mango I got yesterday. I went to slice it today and this is what I found. This is just one example. Every time I order bananas, pineapples, or avocados I always have to check and 8 out of 10 times I have to tell them its rotten and they have to replace it, which means me waiting even longer. Now I will be doing the same for all fruits. Such a disappointment. HEB really needs to do better!!!!
- TLTerry Lightfoot3 days ago1.0So I went in there like I do most h-e-bs, being Jewish and of a certain dietary observances. I always go to the deli and ask them if they're willing to clean one of their meat slicing machine which they usually oblige with no problem. That's exactly what happened today and I was very thankful that the lady was more than willing to do it. So after standing there for about 10 minutes, her getting the machine completely clean another lady who saw it was being cleaned came up with another slab of meat and just slapped it right on there on the clean machine. The lady told her why was cleaned and the lady just turned and looked at me like there was something wrong with me. I don't think I have to feel bad about what persuasion of faith that I have and that we don't want to eat certain foods. Most definitely we don't want them all jumbled together with dirty machines just cross contaminating one meat and cheese after another. I was going to pick some meat up for someone else, the pre-sliced, but to which it all had been packaged 2 days before some of it three days before and was sitting there on top and clearly not cold I wasn't the only one who was making mention of that. I suppose it's a matter of the help that you can't get, and whether or not they've been properly trained. Too bad, I will not get my meat from this HEB and I'm sure for them it doesn't even matter. I found everything else in the store like any other H-E-B good to go. This isn't the normal H-E-B I go to, I will say it our H-E-B they know that there are people who come in who have certain dietary restrictions and they actually have one or two that they constantly have cleaned and covered specifically for that. I'm glad someone has a heart to think that way. Unfortunately this H-E-B does not.
