  These Apollo loco locations are a hit a miss. This particular one was in between. The food tasted great, The cashier seems to have challenges getting my order in the system. I have notice this in other locations as well, might have turnover challenges. There was no ice tea outside, the bathroom is filthy and the door handles are greasy. Is like the employees are all behind the counter and no one ever gets out to check the rest of the restaurant.

  My husband and I really wanted to like the food. We’ve passed by it for a while, the food looked good on the advertisements, and the options weren’t bad. I will say, they are a little pricey on some things. A la Carte sides are $5+ for an example and they aren’t super large. Some things aren’t too bad. They have an okay meal deal for a little over $7 (for a limited time). We had no issues with the service really. The lady who was in the drive thru was very welcoming and polite. Food was served promptly and in a reasonable time. However, one of the drinks was incorrect. We ordered two of the meal deals, and my husband got the 2 piece chicken meal. The tacos are okay. It’s just chicken and cilantro. No onions, cheese or other options offered. Even as a “street taco” style. The chicken isn’t amazing. There’s not a special seasoning or anything. The burrito had mostly rice with very little chicken. The barracho beans were not very legit and did not have any sort of meat. They were pinto beans unseasoned, almost like baked beans without the sugar. The Mac N Cheese was okay, a little powdery. The meal was a lot like cafeteria style food. The guacamole is good, it needs a little salt. Our chips were stale, which was disappointing as we can tell they are made in house. I will say the churros were very good and fluffy, I wish they had options for fillings but they still were the best part of the meal. 3/5 for service and food combined. We probably will not be back for at least a long time as there are better options closer to home.

  You guys literally need to give Guillermo a raise and make him a manager or something. AMAZING customer service. If you are the owner, know that this man has been the reason why I keep coming back. Whatever his raise is, he is worth 10X that. He needs to be the manager or the operational director of the stores as he makes me feel at home as a customer!

  To me, this is the best location in the Metroplex. I have been to each of them multiple times. These guys in Richardson do not miss!! Great service and the food is consistently fresh. Very tasty.

  All of the chips that came with the meals, and the chips that I ordered had been sitting in a basket or on a shelf for too long. They were chewy and terrible. Even the tortillas that came with our chicken were brittle and felt like they had just been sitting out. Our grilled chicken was leathery like someone cooked too much yesterday, pulled it out a fridge and microwaved it. My crispy taco was literally burnt - through both tortillas and the chicken and lettuce too. It’s like they made the whole taco, then decided to fry it. Who wants fried lettuce? Who wants burnt tortilla with fried lettuce and tomatoes? The whole experience, was very sub par. The one item that was actually delicious was the guacamole taco. I should have just ordered 10 of those. I spent $59.83 of my hard earned money on mostly trash. Fortunately I have had better experiences in the past with this location so I’ll come back after I forget how disappointed I am.
