First let me start off by saying the team members at this location we're amazing and went out of their way to assist me now that being said the individual on duty acting as supervisor whomever he is really needs to get an updated class on customer service and basic fraction mathematics. Tonight I stopped in there for a family size chili (for those who may not know that is roughly about five large chilies in one giant Bowl to take home to the family) when paying at the counter the cashier asked me if I would like cheese and onion and I said please, thinking of course that it would be enough cheese and onion for a family size chili. So when I seen the cashiers assistance putting together my order and it was a small container of chili cheese and a small container of onion I requested to purchase some additional. One of the other team members said oh not the small containers you need to use the larger ones for the family size container basic mathematics 101 makes sense to me because had I ordered a large chili I would have gotten a small side of onion and a small side of cheese to put on top of one large. However I'm getting five largest which means you would get 5 cups of cheese and 5 cups of onion correct? No you would be wrong in assuming so at this Wendy's according to the supervisor on duty. I did offer to pay for additional cheese and onion from the beginning so I went to the cashier to purchase an extra cheese and onion and it was in the dawned on me and so I asked the supervisor on duty if I was getting a large chili with extra cheese and onion on the side you would give me what the small container of each correct he said yes. So I asked him how many chilies were in a family size chili and he answered five. So of course I inquired then why would I not get five small containers of onion and five small containers of cheese? (Again basic mathematics fractions people). 1 chili one small cheese one small onion on side 2 Chili's two small cheese too small onion on side etcetera etcetera or so you would think. Now mind you I have purchased additional cheese and onion at this point and the supervisor on duty still refused to understand the basics of my simple equation. This is why I say they need to get a refresher course on customer service and the quantities of side items you get with a larger item. 23 employees working under him this evening I commend you. You provided excellent customer service and was willing to rectify the error with no hassle. My suggestion is that set management takes a step back or even take a seat and sit and observe as the other employees teach him a thing or two about customer service. Side note I would consider myself a pretty much regular at this location I make it a routine to stop in there at least once a week. And as usual I only deal with the cashiers and the window person and they're always phenomenal. This time however I went inside to purchase the family chili and this was the outcome. Management don't forget where you started and don't forget where you came from the little people have it right and because of these little people I will be returning certainly not because of the hospitality and service offered to me from management. I have added a few pictures just for GP and visual comparison.
