Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Customer experiences with service quality are mixed, with some praising friendly staff and quick service, while others report long wait times and incorrect orders.
Food Quality
Food quality is generally appreciated, but there are complaints about inconsistencies, such as cold or improperly cooked items.
Management Issues
Several reviews indicate concerns about management and staff training, particularly during busy hours, leading to poor service and order accuracy.
Cleanliness
The cleanliness of the location has been noted positively by some, but others have reported unsanitary conditions.

I made a mistake ordering my daughter’s food. I requested a new order and when I went to pay, the manager Adriana was so polite and generous. She made a fresh batch of wings for my daughter and gave us an extra fries. I will drive from Frisco just to come to this Whataburger. Very relaxed and clean restaurant. Thank you!

Sat in drive thru and 4 other cars went through the other lane. Pulled to window, no apology for wasting my time. Workers need to understand that even if their mistake was unintentional that it still is their fault and an apology is expected for the time I wasted. Poor experience, please get robots.

I’ve been coming to this Whataburger regularly for about six years, and to be completely honest, I’ve often dreaded going through the drive-thru because the interactions haven’t always been very kind or welcoming. That completely changed the day I was helped by Evelyn.
Evelyn is by far the kindest, most professional, and genuinely pleasant person I’ve encountered at this location and honestly, at any fast-food drive-thru in a very long time. From the moment she took my order, her tone was warm, patient, and respectful. She made me feel like a valued customer instead of just another car in line.
I understand she’s new, but she already sets an incredible standard for customer service. One positive interaction may seem small, but it truly made my day and changed how I feel about coming back through this drive-thru. Evelyn is a real asset, and I hope she gets the recognition she deserves.
Thank you, Evelyn, for reminding me what great customer service feels like.

Eddie is the man! Whoever is the GM or owner, pay attention and give this guy and his night shift crew a raise.
This place used to be a wreck for grabbing a bite late at night…to put it nicely. It got so bad that I’ve changed my mind and went elsewhere more than a handful of times. Give the management props for making changes and bringing in the A team. A few weeks ago I came back and there was Eddie with a simple smile and good attitude. My order was correct, sauces were all there (it used to be missing ALL the time), food was hot and fresh and neatly packed like they actually care. I was like ok.. maybe it’s a fluke but happy to try again. Same thing tonight. You guys won me back.
