Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
This has to be the worst Whataburger in the history of Whataburger. Nothing is ever right or on time. I've placed my orders on the app repeatedly and they are never ready when I arrive. I might as well just order when I get here. Orders are always wrong in some way or another. However, today was inexcusable. I ordered 3 5pcs chicken bits. One order had 3 each and that's being generous and the other two had 4 each. In each container there was a large crumb piece that I'm assuming they are considering a piece of chicken. The saddest thing is this place is brand new. I would be a little easier on them if they were swamped. But every time I arrive, it's not. Maybe 1-3 cars total an the inside is about the same. Either get it right or close down. No one wants to pay their hard earned money or waste their precious time on trash.

Every time i come to this location they have the most polite men working the drive-thru. I got lunch around 3AM today and the young blonde man working was so nice! When he brought my food to the VIP lane he realized he forgot to put ketchup in the bag, politely told me his mistake and grabbed some for me. The food is always hot and fresh and the tea is usually freshly brewed. I wish more places offered the same customer service. Will keep coming back to this location!

I don’t usually write reviews, but this place absolutely deserves one. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, relaxed, and full of energy. You can tell right away that they take pride in what they do.
Now, the burger—easily one of the best I’ve ever had. The patty was perfectly cooked: juicy, flavorful, and with that ideal sear on the outside. The bun was fresh and soft but held everything together without falling apart (which is rarer than it should be). Every topping tasted fresh, and the combination of flavors was just spot-on—nothing overpowering, everything balanced.
The fries were just as impressive—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned perfectly. And the portions? Generous without being ridiculous.
What really stood out, though, was the service. Friendly, quick, and genuinely enthusiastic. It felt like they actually cared about making sure everyone had a great experience.
If you’re a burger fan, this spot is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back—probably sooner than I should.

My family and I love Whataburger in general, but the service at this location has really gone downhill in the past few months. A co-worker and I place a group order once a week, and we place the order online ahead of time to make sure they can have it ready. Today we had to wait 30 minutes for our food, partly because it wasn't ready, and partly because the order was wrong and had to be corrected.
Every week several food items get left out of our order, often several items are incorrectly built, and sometimes properly built items are marked with stickers that don't match the burgers as built.
Sadly, this has become the norm for this location. Hoping they can figure it out because the Whataburger brand is a favorite at our workplace.

I had a really frustrating experience at Whataburger tonight. The employee working the drive-thru mic kept going back and forth asking what we wanted to order, even though we were clearly trying to place it. Every time we started ordering, there would be about a 10-second pause like no one was listening, and then he would come back on and ask again.
This happened multiple times (at least three), and it felt like we were being ignored or the system wasn’t being handled properly. He kept saying “sorry,” but the issue kept repeating with no improvement.
It made the whole ordering process confusing and unnecessarily long. This shouldn’t happen at a drive-thru where efficiency and communication are important.
I’d appreciate it if this location could address this so other customers don’t have the same experience.
