Updating to 1 star, just don’t go here folks, staff are toxic. Had an interesting experience here: Showed up and seemed low staffed, was told by a very nice worker that his two colleagues were running late, and he was actually supposed to be clocking out. I said no worries! Although I offered to wait, he insisted on taking my order anyways, despite being off the clock. His name was Dante, and he is the pinnacle example of dedication in customer service! A note to the manager (Jesse?): when his two colleagues finally arrived, they seemed to start yelling at him and trying to coax him to work even more despite him already being overtime and clocked out….. Really seemed hostile, and an unprofessional exchange to hold out in the open in front of customers….. please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you would like any additional context. Leaving 5 stars because of Dante

I had a really disappointing experience at Tropical Cafe. They closed the kitchen 40 minutes earlier than their posted hours, which was frustrating on its own—but what made it worse was the staff’s attitude. Instead of being apologetic or helpful, they were incredibly rude and dismissive when I asked about ordering. If you’re going to close early, at least communicate it clearly and treat customers with respect. Definitely not the kind of service I expected, and it makes me hesitant to come back.

I ordered 20 min prior to getting to the store and it was not ready. I was so willing to let that go until I took a drink on the way to pick up my children and had to stop for an epi pen shot because I said no banana and there was banana in it. Love that for me.

tropical smoothie spots are one of my go-to treats, and I almost always order the açaí bowl. It’s usually something I look forward to because it’s fresh, balanced, and consistently satisfying. On top of that, the staff has always been incredibly kind and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. That’s why this visit stood out to me a bit. While everything else was still great in terms of service, the açaí bowl itself was noticeably different from what I’m used to. There was a very small amount of açaí compared to usual, and a much heavier portion of granola so much that it kind of overwhelmed the bowl. It threw off the balance and made it less enjoyable than what I’ve come to expect. It’s definitely not a huge issue, and I still appreciate how friendly and attentive everyone was. I just wanted to mention it because consistency is part of what keeps me coming back. I’d love to keep this as one of my regular spots, and I’m hoping this was just a one-time thing. Overall, still a positive experience I just wanted to share some feedback in hopes it helps keep things as great as they usually are!

I ordered my two açaí bowls through DoorDash for pick up on 1/17/2026. However when I went into the store they told me they ran out of açaí bowls. Then Tropical Smoothie Cafe should have canceled the order in the app because they gave me nothing and it was their fault. However they did not give me anything and by default it appears to DoorDash they had given me the food. I paid and didn’t get anything and they won’t refund me and neither will DoorDash. I called later since I was still charged despite not receiving any food and they never resolved the issue. Edit: This was not a delivery this was a PICK UP I left the restaurant without any food.
