SPOILED SEAFOOD!! 2nd time I've bought catfish only to get it home and wheww, spoiled! I've read several other reviews within the last year that mention spoiled and expired food. I will no longer purchase meat or seafood from this location.

This review is for Tom Thumb located at Parker Rd and Dallas North Tollway. I had the most bizarre and disturbing experience at this location today. My husband purchased roses early this morning from their floral department as a little birthday surprise for me at 7:47 a.m. (per receipt) We are less than 2 miles from the store. I got up at 8:20, went downstairs and saw them on the kitchen counter as he had put them in a vase. I thought they looked a little puny and wilted and I chuckled because it was rather funny. I proceeded to take a picture as I like to chronicle special occasions. I joined my husband for coffee and thanked him for the flowers. He laughed and said he hadn't realized how sad looking they were when he hurriedly grabbed them at the store and just wanted to get home before I awoke. Super sweet gesture. After a fabulous birthday early dinner, we returned home and these poor roses and filler flowers were looking super depressed and shedding all over. Since I wanted to pick up some things for the next morning, I grabbed the roses, wrapping, bag and receipt. What happened next when I stood at the service desk should never happen to any customer. Girl at desk said she had to call a manager for returns. Manager Jacquie arrives and proceeds to grill me about the flowers. She then disappears for 10-12 minutes. I wait. Said she is taking pictures of them for "proof". ?? Jacquie returns to tell me that her Flow Manager never sold flowers to a man this morning. Huh? I have a dated and time stamped receipt from TODAY. I tell her to run back video as the receipt shows the purchase and my husband was indeed there. We go back and forth as she insists this Flow Mgr did not sell anything. I ask for the person's name as I shop here frequently and might be familiar with the person and she enunciates "the Flow Manager". I ask to personally speak to this person. Jacquie replies that Flow Manager is not on clock and will not speak with me. Realizing this is going nowhere, I ask for a refund again. Jacquie keeps reiterating that no flowers were sold this morning.Nameless faceless Flow Manager insists she absolutely did not sell any flowers this morning. I tell Jacquie there appears to be conflict between her and this elusuve Flow Manager and it should not involve me. Clearly the person responsible for the arrangement didn't notice the poor condition (mistakes happen) and it was serious business to make sure they were reprimanded for it. Geez. OK. It's a flower arrangement, not a fatal disease. Working relationships can become downright petty and this appears to be a prime example of it. Still not clear on the hierarchy of manager Jacquie I was dealing with so unsuccessfully vs Flow Mgr who insisted they didn't sell any flowers this morning. Sounds like a problem they should handle behind closed doors. I was made to feel as if I was doing something underhanded and loudly so. I showed her my time stamped pic I'd taken basically proving the condition of the roses right after purchase. I did get a refund and told the manager I would be contacting corporate and insisting they run back the video. I guess the bananas on the receipt weren't sold either. Word to the wise, best to avoid people and situations that have proven to be unstable, ill-equipped to handle life situations or are downright stupid. This was ridiculous, unnecessary, upsetting and a complete waste of time. I admonished Jacquie upon my departure telling her I was very disappointed in her behavior. They have definitely lost me as a customer.
