I’ve been buying family trays for my meal preps since last year. I loved central market for this, today I realized they significantly reduced the amount of food on the trays but the price still the same! Sadly not coming here anymore :/

Central Market is the Crown Jewel of foodie locations. We love the Coit in Plano location. When family comes to visit from out of state, no visit is complete without at least one stop at CM. There’s just too many things you can get here that you can’t get anywhere else. You “might” be able to some seafood items that are fresher in designated fish markets (Seabreeze, Captn. Dave’s). You “might” find a fresher selection of spices elsewhere. Same for breads and health foods. But, I’d challenge you to find the extensive selection of all these things at the same quality.
There is a price to be paid for the extensive selection and quality. CM can be substantially more expensive. Most of our grocery shopping is done at other stores. Retirement isn’t easy, especially in the current political climate. Money doesn’t go as far. So, while we do the bulk of our shopping at one of the Big Box groceries, we go to CM once every ~10 days to get fish, dark chocolate/sea salt covered caramels, bread, skyr yogurt, and excellent quality Italian parmigiano-reggiano cheese, and other items we can’t get anywhere else. (For example, you could get the cheese from a Big Box store. But, it will come in thick plastic containers made by large producers. Thank you. No.)
We’re making a seafood chowder today. We’re picking up other items to make dessert. CM isn’t our only stop. But on Christmas Eve we’re willing to brave the crowds to get to CM early.

You know I really should have written this review many years ago because I've had nothing but great experiences at this location. It is one of my favorite locations when I lived in the Dallas area and now that I live forty minutes away. Anywho yesterday I went in for a few things because I was in the area and needed some items for Christmas meal. I noticed you guys were out of the pequin salsa on the shelf (I also was in a hurry because my five month old had a Drs appointment in argyle so we were trying to kill a few birds with one stone) and asked Ashlie for some help and she said there were twenty on hand. She then found Susie (Susan) in which went to go retrieve the salsa but I guess was told it was on a pallet. She kindly asked if I could wait but I let her know I lived out of town. She's there and proceeded to let me know she would see what she could do she then later asked her manager I didn't get his name but he had really nice hair, I then came back to some salsa on the shelf and she found me in the check out line. I thanked her she told Merry Christmas. That just goes to show what team effort they put in and care into their customers. You guys truly shine every time I visit and this time was like no other. You guys are making my Christmas even merrier her because my family will have Miss Delicious food finds.Thank you.

We love this location! We recently discovered Central Market and have quickly become weekly regulars. We love that they have plenty of car carts for kids, and that as soon as you walk in, your child can choose a purple or green balloon. My son absolutely loves it. When my little one gets antsy, I can take him outside to their gated park to run around while my husband finishes shopping, which is such a game changer. It’s one of the most family-friendly grocery shopping experiences we’ve had. The layout is also really fun and interesting, similar to IKEA with a suggested path and a few shortcuts, plus playful signage like Trader Joe’s and a great selection of produce. Oh! And cant forget about samples, they have lots of samples like Costco and they seem to start between 3:30 and 4:00.

By far one of the best supermarkets around when it comes to high-end quality and international products. While the selection isn’t quite as massive as the Lovers Lane location, it’s still an easy 5 stars. The fresh produce is outstanding — incredible quality with a huge variety. You’ll find plenty of excellent everyday goods alongside specialty products from across Europe and the Far East.
Central Market is more than a grocery store — it’s a culinary experience. The bread and pastry department alone is worth the visit: an insane selection of bread types, and considering the size and quality, it’s surprisingly affordable. Their self-service spice section is also outstanding — excellent quality, much cheaper than the pre-packaged glass jars, and packed with some of the most obscure spices you’ll ever need for that one exotic dish. The employees are well-educated, experienced, and genuinely helpful. Top it all off with a double espresso at the café, and you’re already looking forward to the next visit.
