We gathered the family here to celebrate my uncle's birthday. It was my first time here and I was not disappointed. The food, although a bit on the expensive side, was very delicious. The desserts were rich and savory. The waitress was very attentive, even with us having a large group.

I changed up my order today. I ended up having a blackened salmon Cesar salad. Cooked to a perfect medium. It was so delicious. Rachel was our waitress and she was great! Although we were all stuffed we decided to split this delicious dessert 5 ways. A spoonful or two did the trick. I believe it was called a turtle chocolate brownie topped with vanilla ice cream. Perfection. Until the next time.

Pappadeaux was a good experience overall. I really liked the food and the service; everything we ordered was well prepared, flavorful, and came out in a timely manner. The staff was attentive without being overwhelming, which always makes a difference.
The only thing I didn’t love was the menu. It doesn’t have pictures, and the descriptions are pretty long and complex. A lot of the dishes sound very similar on paper, so it’s a bit hard to tell what really sets each one apart. It made choosing more difficult than it needed to be, especially if you’re not already familiar with the cuisine. Aside from that, though, I enjoyed the meal and would definitely go back.

Calamari (not shown) - Excellent as always with a very light breading and great dipping sauces .
Bread and butter (not shown) The bread is usually very good here as was the case tonight. I’m not sure where they source it from but it is always crispy and warm and chewy, which is all the things that you love about a good French bread.
Salmon Alexander - So the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is not because of the flavors, staff or experience, as they were all top notch, which is usual for Pappadeaux’s, I only gave 4 stars for the food due to the presentation. Mind you, the food came out a lot faster than I expected, which shows that the kitchen was working very quickly, which is a good thing, but the presentation was a bit sloppy (I even tried to “Clean up” the plate before taking photos) as you can still see the rice was kind of spooned on the plate, the shrimp, crawfish, and scallops were just kind of thrown on top, and the garnish was kind of off to the side, and even the fork holding the lemon was in the sauce. I know it sounds like I’m being overly critical, but if just a few seconds of attention was given to the plating, this would’ve been a full or five stars.
Crème Brûlée - even though I was stuffed, for some reason this sounded so good to me and it was an excellent way to finish an excellent meal. It was not overly sweet, but quite refreshing due to the medley of berries that it was served with. I don’t know if I’ve ever tasted fresher, berries, but that touch sent this desert to the next level. Even though it’s a simple thing, because it was done so right, it made it something great.
My server Audrey (Rec 192) made my experience an excellent one, as she was very attentive and not overbearing, and made me feel very welcome and cared for.
Highly recommend this location.
