Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
We were in the drive through line at least 15 minutes, possible 20 minutes, once we got our food the fries were just past frozen, we had to air fry them at home, we didn’t get the cookie with our kids meal nor any napkins or the receipt. I would like to think its is because everyone is new but I would think since the Whataburger by FM 2351 closed that most of those employees relocated. Not sure if will go back to this location.

Last night we ordered through the drivethru and they took forever for just two burgers. They made us wait for the meat and had us pull up front to wait on our order while everyone else drove around us. We love Whataburger and we tried this new location for the first time. We will continue going to our original Whataburger spots until this location catches up. We figured this crew are just too green.

Visited this new store on day 2 and ordered the Patty Melt meal at the drive through. The service was OK; however, I was not able to get a receipt because cc the machine was broken. The food was disappointing. The meat patties were noticeably much thinner, there were very onions and the sauce was “barely there” to the point the sandwich was dry! I am not sure if this is because of untrained staff or management cheating customers on portion sizes and amounts. The fries (per usual) were cold. This motivated me to get back to my home meal prep and healthy eating. Didn’t patronize Walmart and Raising Canes in 2025. I’ll add Whataburger to the list in 2026.

Went at 1:15am this morning. They just opened a week ago and already the staff member in drive thru was rude as hell. No name tag but shes black with Christmas nails. Probably management. Not a good impression at all especially being new to the neighborhood and acting like that. Totally snippy and rude. Not just to me but to other team members. If she doesnt like her job maybe this location should find someone who actually wants to be here!

We recently visited this brand new Whataburger location, and while the food didn’t come out quite right at first—most of our burgers were not how we ordered them —the experience turned around completely thanks to Karen. She was incredibly attentive, kind, and genuinely cared about making things right. Karen went above and beyond to fix every issue, made sure our order was corrected, and ensured we left happy. Mistakes happen, especially at new locations, but outstanding customer service like hers makes all the difference.
