  Spent 109$ on serveral items first visit. Not too bad on desserts but food is mediocre. I expected SOUL FOOD, not quite..not much seasoning..out of several items upon arriving in drive thru roughly 30 mins saturday afternoon. 1 Item wasnt made correctly and not to mention the gratuity amounts before evem trying the food is crazy to me. Wont return due to the taste of the foods. Drive thru customer service wasnt bad.

  LISTEN! Go, now. The food is perfect. I’d probably redesign the interior at the Pearland location but with 9.7/10 who cares!! Oxtails have mellow and DEEP flavor. Service with a smile. McKenna was very nice. Dinner for 2 @ 50$, #worthit

  The food is always prepared correctly and tasted like back home. If you are caving some down cooking, than is your place in Pearland Tx

  2/16/26 on a Sunday they forgot to put my dessert in my bag. Once I got home I sent my son to go back in get it. Only been 15 minutes later with my receipt. They told him they don't remember and I ask to get me to send them a picture. I spend $103 on my order They wanted me to send them my picture for a $3 dessert. That's why I don't shop at black own restaurant. Very rude and disrespectful

  The food here NEVER fails. It’s delicious every time we go. The catfish, yams and greens are my favorites. The Mac n cheese isn’t a traditional baked Mac n cheese which is the only downfall. The cakes are also SO GOOD!
