Their parking lot is a lawsuit waiting to happen. As a person who does deliveries I have been almost hit several times by people coming out of the ailes who didn’t have the right of way. Each aisle needs stop signs. Pedestrians are even worse. I have had pedestrians throw their kids in of my vehicle before. If my delivery vehicle gets hit, I’m suing the store and whoever hit it. Store needs to get together and do something about the parking lot.

On February 12 at around 10:19 PM, I came to
H-E-B Odessa University location to purchase a Tres Leches cake for my father’s birthday. and I was unaware of the bakery’s operating hours. I respectfully asked the front desk manager a shorter, older woman with medium length hair if there was any possibility of purchasing a cake since I had just gotten off work late and live nearly an hour and away in a town without major grocery stores and my dads bday is tomorrow and I came as fast as possible
Although I fully understand and respect that the bakery was closed, the way I was treated was extremely disappointing. The manager responded with a rude tone and visible attitude, telling me to “come back at 6 AM when the bakery opens.” She then turned toward two cashiers and made comments implying that I “should have come earlier,” while jiggling about the situation. This behavior felt unprofessional, dismissive, and disrespectful especially coming from someone in a management position.
I have personally worked in grocery stores, including in assistant management roles, and I understand policies and time limitations besides that I was always able to work at any department at any time with no hesitation. That is also why I asked leadership positions are SUPPOSED to be able to Help at any department
It was not hard to put a cake on a box and a label on the box.
My concern is not that I was unable to purchase the cake; my concern is the lack of professionalism, empathy, and basic customer respect displayed during the interaction. A manager represents the company’s values, and the attitude shown this night did not reflect the level of service I would expect from H-E-B.
There was also another customer a young men who was treated with the same response dismissive manner. Experiences like this leave customers feeling unwelcome and undervalued. I strongly believe H-E-B can do better by ensuring that employees especially those in leadership roles treat customers with courtesy, respect, and professionalism at all times.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously so that future customers are treated with understanding rather than sarcasm or ridicule. Thank you.

I just had the worst experience placing a delivery order. I put in the correct delivery address and the delivery driver couldn’t deliver my groceries. I had to call multiple store locations to track down my order because no one could find it in the system. Once I found my order, the store stated my groceries couldn’t be delivered. I got transferred to someone from customer service who stated there was a glitch in the app and the HEB app just generated the address most similar to the one I had entered. I have still been told there is nothing that can be done but I have not received any confirmation that my order has been refunded. I received a confirmation that my order was delivered but yet I have no idea where the groceries went. I now have to wait another day to get a call back from customer service since no one on the phone could help me. I have no idea when I’ll receive my refund and I can’t even get the groceries I need until it is fully refunded. The customer service worker clearly stated it was a mistake by the HEB app and yet they are doing nothing to help fix this.
