We always stop at this location on our way back from Tyler. We usually go through the drive-thru, and have never had a problem...until this visit. We decided to just get lunch as well as our chocolate soft serve cones that we came for. It started with the lady taking our order. Either she is VERY hard of hearing, or just incapable of paying attention. We must have told her our order 2 dozen times, and she still messed it up. I caught it before paying, or she would have had to do a refund. Then, we find out about this new name policy. It's stupid...PERIOD. This isn't Starbucks. There's no need to have someone wandering the store calling out our name to bring us our food. There are ticket numbers for that. If the person wandering around with our food had actually been paying attention, that would have been helpful. My adult daughter was waving at her and saying over here. She completely ignored her. I finally had to yell out, loudly, "Ma'am! Over here!" while waving at her. Then she has the nerve to rudely smart off with, "You didn't say anything." Her name badge said she's the assistant manager. Nice attitude from your management. Then, in the middle of our meal, the assistant manager comes back over and yells out to the whole room, "Did y'all have the chocolate ice cream cones?" Everyone was staring because it was so abrupt. I said, yes, but we were going to get them after we ate our lunch. She, rudely says, "I'm trying to tell you something here. We don't have any chocolate." The ONLY reason we came here was for the chocolate soft serve. I tell her this. I also told her that if they had told us this when we were ordering, we would have just gone somewhere else. No, we don't want vanilla cones dipped in chocolate. It's not even close to the same thing. We'll just get a refund on the cones. She was really defensive and said, "How was I supposed to know we were out." I didn't say it, but my thoughts were...BECAUSE IT'S YOUR JOB! ??? She couldn't even figure out how to give me the refund. She had to go get someone else to do it. She said she knows how to give a cash refund, but not one back on a credit card. I was beyond ready to get out of there and told her I don't care if she refunds it by cash or credit card, whateveris easiestfor her. Of course, it has to be done by the same payment method. That's fine, but how does the ASSISTANT MANAGER not know how to do a simple refund?!! Frankly, if we walked in and saw this woman again, we'd leave. That goes for the one who rang us up too! Also, no idea which one it was, but quite possibly the one that might have a hearing problem, had the volume turned up so obnoxiously loud on their cell phone, and was dinging with alerts every few minutes like their job was social media. It was just...unreal. It made for a very noisy, unpleasant dining experience. At least the woman cooking was doing a good job. This place was a disaster! Yes, I know it was lunchtime, but none of what happened was affected by that. It wasn't that busy. There's no reason for people not to be able to actually DO their job. Then, you print a receipt with a survey, but when you go to do the survey, you can't because the receipt is missing information that is required to do the survey. Isn't that convenient?!
