While visiting friends in Wisconsin recently, we did that several times at different locations - always the same process. Order at the kiosk, proceed to food pickup counter, receive a cup with the caramel or vanilla syrup in it, proceed to self serve area to fill with coffee, proceed to hot coffee area to add half and half. Well, you would think it was rocket science at this Creekside location. The food pickup counter lady gave us two tiny condiments containers with the syrup, and two empty cups. Someone had left a container of half and half next to the cold brew. How cool, I thought...until I realized a staffer returned it to the hot drink area. Why waste two small plastic containers? Why make customers juggle lots of little things getting ice and coffee and half and half? Just didn't make sense. This story was actually way more complicated with my husband asking for a cup at the cashier and me spilling a cup of ice trying to fill it with cold brew when it was mostly empty and tipped forward when I tried to press the spout handle. Husband had a splint on his hand. Just not a great experience.
