Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Many customers praised the friendly and helpful staff, with specific mentions of employees going above and beyond to assist.

AVOID CURBSIDE!! Placed order at 9:27pm curbside and I get my food at 10:12pm…. I walk in trying to figure out why it’s taking so long and get handed cups to fill my drinks and get told “waiting on fries”…

Came in late with the hungry drag race crowd - they handled the influx of people great considering. Order took some time but still quicker than some busy locations at lunch time.

I just left church with my two babies who are falling asleep in the car. I hadn’t eaten since yesterday and all I wanted was an avocado burgermeal from Whataburger… I did a mobile order for a pick up inside and unfortunately, since the kids were falling asleep I couldn’t bring them in so the gentleman that was working the drive-through was kind enough to let me go through the drive and not only was he kind but somehow he understood my little struggle… And it may not have been a lot to him because he was probably just doing his job, but I was just so tired and hungry. I know that they were super busy (because it’s literally right after church on a Sunday During lunchtime ) so I wasn’t trying to rush them, but I do appreciate him working with a sense of urgency to get me fed and safe at home with my babies. Thank you!
