I had an extremely disappointing experience at this location today. I was with my son and had only about 12 items. I tried to pay in the self-checkout area, which had about 5 empty kiosks at the time. However, the staff forced me to leave and wait in a long line at the regular registers, strictly citing the item limit. This shows a complete lack of empathy and common sense. If the kiosks are empty and no one is waiting, staff should prioritize service efficiency instead of enforcing rigid rules that only ruin the customer experience. To make matters worse, as I was leaving, I saw another customer checking out with more than 10 items in the very same area I was turned away from. A total inconsistency and a lack of respect for a customer’s time. They have a lot of room for improvement regarding floor management and staff judgment."

Really wish they would train their baggers the way we used to do it in the early days. No training, no common sense in most cases.

David is such a kind manager and very inviting. On the other hand cashier and baggers are not. Can’t even look you in the eye, no hi how are you, no you’re welcome when I still said thank you, nothing. How unwelcoming !

I stopped by last Sunday while visiting from Austin for my aunt’s funeral (by way of Midland—born and raised here 😊). I sampled the fish tacos, and let me just say—they were divine! Monica was absolutely wonderful—so kind, pleasant, and genuinely helpful. She even walked with me to the produce section to show me the exact slaw I needed so I could recreate the dish later that afternoon. On the way, we shared a quick, lighthearted moment. I mentioned I was in town for my aunt’s funeral, and somehow we ended up joking about how I saw a very handsome Mexican man (a family friend’s husband) and now I’m in the store noticing all the fine Mexican men 😂—and in my mind, they’re noticing me too! I joked they better behave before I “put something on them,” which is totally not my character, but it sounded funny in the moment. We laughed so hard—it was such a genuine, joyful moment that I really needed. When we got to produce, they were out of the slaw I needed, but another employee—a beautiful young woman with long dark hair and such a warm, welcoming spirit—noticed us and immediately stepped in to help. She even went to check in the back for more. Unfortunately, they were out, but she was so kind and eager to assist. I didn’t catch her name, but she truly made an impression. Monica went above and beyond—not only offering a great substitute recommendation, but also expressing her condolences and giving me the most genuine, heartfelt hug ❤️. These two women turned what started as a heavy day into something incredibly uplifting. Honestly, they made my day… more like my year. I just had to share this because kindness like that deserves to be recognized. And just to say it again—the fish tacos were AMAZING! Kindness can, will, and does change the world. 💫
