Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I am from The Rio Grande ValIey and moved to Midland Tx 2 years ago. My husband and I had previously visited several Whataburger’s in Midland and Odesa Tx. Every time it was the same outcome dry burgers with no taste to it. We would talks of how much we missed our Whataburger in Alamo Tx. That Whataburger is known and favorite for many who live there. They have the best burgers, juicy and delicious. The drive way has always long lines and lobby is always packed. People don’t mind the wait because they have excellent customer service and their food is great. My husband and I decided to visit Whataburger once again today; the store number is 177. While standing in line, the manager was helping some guests in front of us and he was very nice , he suggested them avocado in their burger and he said if they had their app so that they can get their rewards. He also offered them the cup for .50 more. When it was time for us to order I input my order and I went ahead and sat on the table while my husband was still putting his order. My husband who is always very quiet and don’t say nice things about others said “ The manager said that if I wanted a an apple pie” I said yes “ Would you like one for your wife and if she does not want it you can have two.” And he ended up getting two apple pies. When they brought our order to our table we opened our burger and OMG. It brought us back to our home town, to Alamo Tx. Best burgers in the Valley. I told my husband that this burgers were juicy and flavorful and the fries were fresh and crispy. Thank you for making the burgers with so much passion. Midland 177, you all rock and Issac B.the manager for making this experience unique. You guys are the best.
