  Alexis R was our server tonight and did absolutely amazing!! Very kind, funny and an amazing server! If you come to Saltgrass in Midland, you won’t be disappointed if you ask for her as your server! Another great experience at Saltgrass Midland!

  I would really like to say that tonight was definitely an awesome experience here at saltgrass everything from the food to the atmosphere but definitely Alexis R was definitely the highlight of the night, she was very helpful and awesome be sure to ask for her!!!

  Entrees sucked. Mushrooms good. Drinks decent. Bread good. Waitress good. Salt grass was just a Salt lick. ALL THREE ENTREES INEDIBLE. Steak, Ribs, and Salmom. Run, run away and go home and grill you own, already 3 stars ahead of this place. Quit salting everything Saltgrass.

  We planned a long, leisurely lunch at Saltgrass on Christmas Day, and the experience couldn’t have been better. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted, and after telling them we had reservations, Tara took us to our table right away. As I sat down, I brushed a light fixture with my head, and Tara jokingly warned me—making a comment about my height and her lack of height. That little moment immediately put us all at ease. Our server, Cona, arrived shortly after. We explained that we planned to take our time—starting with appetizers, then salads, followed by entrées, and eventually dessert. Lunch unfolded exactly as planned. Despite the restaurant being very busy, Cona was incredibly attentive. We never waited for refills or anything else, and every course was delivered with care. We were never rushed, and it truly felt like she went out of her way to make sure we were well taken care of. I don’t own a restaurant—and I don’t want to—but if I did, I’d fill it with Conas and Taras. They made our Christmas Day lunch memorable, and we’ll absolutely be back.

  We visited Saltgrass on 12/11/25 with a party of 7. Upon arrival, the hostess told us the wait would be about 40 minutes, which we expected due to our party size. Unfortunately, we were not seated until an hour and a half later. After being seated, we placed our order and clearly explained to the server that one of the kids’ meals needed cheese melted on the fries. She wrote it down, but returned about 10 minutes later asking us again how we wanted the fries prepared. We then waited another hour and a half with no food. We eventually noticed our meals sitting against the wall for about 15 minutes while both the server and manager appeared confused. When the food was finally brought out, it was completely cold. The server admitted she had entered the kids’ fries incorrectly and said they would need to remake them. At that point, we asked to speak with the manager. The manager (wearing a pink outfit, who never introduced herself) showed no apology or empathy. She simply said, “Well, it’s up to you, we can refund you or remake it.” After waiting nearly 3 hours total, being served cold food, and facing another long wait, that response was unacceptable and unprofessional. We chose to leave. We were not willing to pay for a 7-person meal after such poor service and treatment. We are Landry’s Select members since 2015, and this was by far the worst experience we’ve ever had. Extremely disappointing, especially from management.
