I love this Tom Thumb! Staff is very friendly, and helpful when it comes to mobile orders. We used to shop here a lot, but now visit and shop at this location when we drive down from Oklahoma! It is well worth it! The store is clean and easy access for those with disabilities, restrooms are clean and accessible! They also have beautiful fresh produce and meats! An excellent choice in grocery shopping! Thank you all at the Tom Thumb Store on Hardin, in Mckinney Texas! ❤️

disappointment and concern regarding my recent experience at your store. During my visit, I was openly monitored on a screen at checkout in full view of other customers. It was clear that I was being watched while completing my purchase, and this was done publicly where others could see. The experience was humiliating and deeply uncomfortable. As a Black customer, this treatment felt discriminatory and targeted. If there are loss prevention procedures in place, they should be handled discreetly and professionally. Publicly displaying surveillance of a customer at checkout is inappropriate and insulting. No one should feel singled out or profiled while simply trying to make a purchase. Given the store’s low traffic and apparent proximity to closing, I would expect every customer to be treated with respect and appreciation. Instead, I left feeling embarrassed and unwelcome. This was my first visit, and it will be my last. I am also reconsidering shopping with your company altogether. I hope this complaint is taken seriously and that steps are taken to ensure customers are treated with dignity and respect moving forward.

This review is specifically of the food delivery service. I have had it for a year and regularly have items missing, items that they say are "out of stock" with no replacement option. Which is crazy because I have gone to the local store and seen the items they say are out of stock at the store. Now when I order items I have to try and call customer service to have them connect me to the person doing the shopping so I can ask them to replace an item with any other version. Any eggs will do, any orange juice, any milk. Just give me a similar item. The whole point of ordering groceries for delivery is so I do not have to go to the store, that's what I am paying a premium for, to have the groceries delivered to my home.

This Tom thumb has been all right since I've been coming here has had some pretty good employees super kind and professional except for one lady who has been here a couple times since coming here wasn't here tonight. However tonight had something really disturbing happened to me. Employee at a register was making himself obvious communicating to the other individual at self checkout looking at me constantly making assumptions which was completely obvious especially his body language and constant eye contact and talking in his ear piece like I'm stealing I heard the other on right after under his voice whenever I was scanning saying oh she scanning now like for real. Come on I shop here a lot. I don't steal so can you please not ever treat me as if I'm a thief when I'm shopping I'd really appreciate that

Used self checkout today - 01/20/26. The lady overseeing self-checkout quietly told the manager-acting guy with the low ponytail three times that I had scanned my eggs. This guy was really worried I might be trying to steal eggs. The eggs were scanned and on the screen so I tried to ignore it. Then when the machine beeped later in the transaction he rushed in to “help”. I am very careful about my scanning. But I think I just became an HEB customer. I don’t like being made to feel like a criminal when I’m buying chicken breast at $9 each.
