Waiting on drive through is nightmare. Ordering one meal and it takes so long even there is no line in front of me....

The manager Vladimir Matias Solis at this store is extremely rude and disrespectful, with a terrible attitude toward customers. Their staff even grab your fries with their bare hands, which is very unhygienic. Avoid coming here.

One of the slowest McD in DFW. Fries are almost always over-cooked and greasy. Can hardly find an employee at the counter. Definitely do not recommend dine-in. Almost always forget to include sauces in the bag.

I want to start by giving credit where it’s due. Michelle, who appeared to be in a leadership role based on her uniform, was very kind, friendly, and genuinely helpful 🙂👏. Interactions like that still matter and made this visit better than it could have been.
That said, the design and layout of this newer McDonald’s is extremely off-putting 😕. It’s nearly identical to the locations in Farmersville and Princeton, TX — and not in a good way.
🚫 Unmanned registers
🚫 No greeting when you walk in
🚫 No clear way to get help
To even be noticed by an employee, you often have to step behind the registers just to be seen 😬. The self-checkout kiosks do accept cash and coins (which is good 💵), but everything else — refills, ketchup, napkins, straws, salt, sauces — requires flagging down an employee 👀✋.
When I asked Michelle why newer McDonald’s no longer have drink fountains for refills, she explained that ownership wants employees to serve customers directly — even for something as small as ice 🧊. The problem is… you can’t find anyone when you need them.
At this location, the team is at least trying 👍. But at the Princeton, TX store, employees will make eye contact and walk right past you without helping — which makes this system even more frustrating.
I also watched another customer spend a long time trying to get someone’s attention, standing awkwardly between the registers and counter just to be helped 😐. That shouldn’t be necessary.
There’s also no PlayPlace here 🧸❌, and it’s clear that newer McDonald’s designs prioritize the drive-thru 🚗💨 while neglecting the lobby experience entirely.
If the goal is “service-focused,” then someone needs to be at the counter at all times. You can’t remove access to everything and remove staff visibility — that’s not service, that’s just poor management.

I live close to this McDonald’s, decided to go out and grab food during the snowstorm since it was so close. Put an order in on the app, got the confirmation, left my house, Get to the McDonald’s and was prompted to check in because they’re Geo fencing is on. I Click I’m here and I get my confirmation code. I go through the drive-through no one answers, pull up to the window and there’s a sign that says sorry we closed earlier today due to weather.
Now… Totally understandable to close during the weather, but can you honestly tell me that McDonald’s of all places doesn’t have the ability to show their store closed on the app? At least half a dozen people pulled in around me doing the same thing, one even giving the middle finger to the Camera.
So I sent in an email saying how disappointed I was to leave the house during a Snowstorm to find out I’d come back home without food. It took them three emails just to acknowledge that I placed an order, despite the extensive form you have to fill out and I actually attached pictures of my confirmation and my check-in code -, then I get two more generic apology emails for getting my order wrong and the time it took??? I’m now on my sixth email with them (principal now) and I’ve still yet to have them even acknowledge the actual problem that I had. All I’m getting is canned responses probably from AI would be my guess. Quite pathetic for Company that size, but expect nothing less than crap at McDonald’s, It is what they are known for cheap crappy and fast. Wouldn’t think you’d be able to go much lower that until you actually just hit crappy as the only thing achieved lol. Do better your McDonald’s!
