I took the food through the window and put my cup of tea in drink holder. As normal I took many sips of my tea on the way home. When I got home I saw something at the bottom of my cup. I will never eat at this filthy restaurant again. Gross 🤢 🤮

Sometimes the employees shopping for pickup orders completely block the aisles and sometimes they just park in the middle other times they abandon cart or just run into you. Sometimes everything is stocked well and other times well. . . It's always busy and the produce always smells like seafood. Sometimes prices are better than Kroger but during holidays they seem raised. Quality of produce, particularly bell peppers it's always poor.

Their prices are competitive but their differentiator is their store brand: their buttery tortillas made fresh daily on-site, their BBQ (not top tier for TX but solid nonetheless), and their store label of other various items like chips, juices, lemonade (the BEST), pizza, and numerous other items. The meat from the onsite butcher is very good quality (not inexpensive but priced appropriately). The fish is also high quality. They have prepackaged meals also that are great. It’s a large store, laid out well, no gimmicks or “reward cards” like the national chains. Just the highest quality products, extremely good selection, at reasonable prices.

They are rude, don’t listen to your request, and transfer you to random departments. I had to employees transfer me mid sentence without even listening to my request. It’s 12-26-25 - so the employees who were answering that line in between 830-845am today really need a lesson in customer service.

Anyway, I moved to California before this glorious consumerism haven opened. I try to be environmentally conscious and consume less, but to be honest, the second I step into HEB I lose all restraint. This is why I come home for Christmas even though I say it’s to visit family. Everything is here. And everything is so cheap. Compared to California at least. There I once bought a carton of eggs for 10 dollars. I cried. But here? I cry only tears of joy.
