  It was our first time there and it was fantastic! All 3 of us loved our lunch entrees! Shrimp w/pasta, beef tenderloin tips w/mashed potatoes and the chicken fried chicken were all excellent! We also took advantage of the Caymus wine special which was over the top! Jackie was our server and did an excellent job! She made sure everything was perfect!

  Service was A+ and is the only reason the server got a great tip. Top notch. But that’s it. The food quality was good but prep underperforms for steaks. No flavor and no seasoning. The meat was tender but without proper seasoning I missed the flavor in the meat. Speed was good too but may they missed out on seasoning or proper meat prep before grilling. Atmosphere can be loud. The wood ceiling design causes the room to sound loud when people are talking. Once the customers dive into the food the noise can drop dramatically.

  Henry was our waiter tonight and he was very personable and attentive. He had excellent suggestions and made sure we received what we ordered and more!! The food was delicious. Salad was cold and crisp….the Shiner Bock Bread was fresh and warm. Steak was cooked to perfection and the ribs literally fell off the bone and melted in our mouths. The queso with brisket was sooo good! Spicy Ranger Rattlers added a pizazz to the Triple Sample Platter. Loved it all…. Finished the meal with a luscious chocolate cake with ice cream.

  What a find!!! The welcome from the lovely hostess was so warm. We were able to have a spacious table for the two of us. It was sunday and the restaurant was super busy but even our waiter was busy he took the time to welcome us and tell us he would be back shortly and when I wasn’t sure about what kind steak choose CHRIS our waiter explain me everything super kind. We had a steak & shrimp and a filet medium with wilted loaded sweet potato and asparagus. It was ALL absolutely perfect. The service was exceptional. Thank you so much Chris. This is obviously something that can make or break a venue, even if the food is of the highest standard but they absolutely nailed it. It really is not surprising that the reviews are so good. Please keep up the hard work as we will be returning as soon as we can. Thank you, guys ♥️ I forget to take some pics because I really enjoy my time there but I left my receive.

  I have been to Salt multiple times before and always enjoyed it, but this last visit was a letdown. The food quality was not what I am used to here. The tomatoes were overripe and mushy, and the steak had too many tendons running through it, which made it hard to eat. The salt board also felt less impressive than usual, missing some of the variety I remember. The service was the bigger issue though. We never received a drink menu and after we finally ordered drinks, our waiter disappeared. We had to flag down another staff member just to place our food order. Same story with dessert. When I had a question, it was the manager who came over because our waiter was nowhere to be found. This is the first time I have had a bad experience here and it has me thinking twice about coming back. The ingredient quality seems to have dropped and the service was simply not acceptable. I hope they sort things out because Salt used to be a favorite of mine.
