Never had a bad experience till today. Horrible service from whole staff. Super dirty, food everywhere and it wasn't even busy. Exactly 2 pm and didn't have any food ready. Just disappointed cause I've never seen it this bad. Falls on management. Paid 35 dollars for 2 poorly served Bowles. And I mean poorly.

I went with my friends, and it was my first time visiting. I wasn’t sure what to order, but they recommended the chicken al pastor burrito and it was amazing! I’d definitely recommend it. Veronica was also super nice. Thank you so much!

Rarely ever have problems with this location. However, today as well as the past time. I noticed that the same staff. Not everyone. But two staff members in particular are doing a one person job. But there’s two people. This other girl. Super nice. She’s always there and very quick was left by herself doing all that to go orders. When one of the other staff members could’ve at least helped who wasn’t doing anything. The line was all the way to the door from where you start ordering and people had a very little space in between each other from how packed it was so I ordered through the app, and it took longer than it was supposed to. I might as well have waited in the Long line all, because that one girl who always is a good job was left by herself. Highly disappointed, and whoever is scheduling and managing the staff. The time before the White, cilantro, rice was so salty. I couldn’t even eat it, it literally chased like Someone. Accidentally dropped the bottle in the rice. Period.

I’ve had Chipotle Mexican Grill in multiple cities Nebraska, Arizona, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio, and I’ve always had a consistent experience. That’s exactly why I brought my family to this McAllen location expecting the same standard.
Unfortunately, this visit was the complete opposite.
From the moment we walked in, it felt like the store was being run without leadership or accountability. Trash bins were overflowing, tables were left dirty with food and debris, and the overall environment felt neglected. It wasn’t just one small issue, it was a pattern throughout the entire store. No one stepped up to clean, no sense of urgency, and no visible management presence guiding the team.
What stood out the most was not just the condition of the restaurant, but what it represented: a breakdown in leadership. When a store reaches this level of disorganization, it reflects deeper issues, from store management all the way up to regional oversight. There’s a clear lack of structure, accountability, and pride in maintaining standards.
As we were checking out, the cashier, who was very kind and doing her best, told us they had no coins or one-dollar bills available. To avoid any inconvenience, I chose to pay by card. After processing the payment, she then informed us they had no receipt paper anywhere in the store. For a business transaction, that’s unacceptable.
I explained that I needed a receipt, and the only solution they could offer was taking a photo of the transaction. That’s something I’ve never experienced at any restaurant, let alone a national brand like Chipotle.
This wasn’t just a bad visit, it was a clear example of what happens when leadership becomes disengaged. When standards slip at this level, it raises serious concerns about operations, cleanliness, and overall care.
It’s disappointing to see a brand that has delivered consistency across multiple cities fall short in such a noticeable way. I truly hope this location receives the attention it needs, because right now, it does not reflect the quality people expect from Chipotle.
