I was surprised because a lot of new Southern-style, minority-owned restaurants are popping up, and not all of them take customer service and food quality seriously. This one does. I believe in paying for good service, and I’m usually the person who leaves 3 stars or less. But this place earned all 5. From the register, the cashier was professional and helpful. Then the owner, who I didn’t even know, walked by and greeted me with genuine friendliness. The food came out fresh, hot, and looking right. You can tell when food has been sitting around… this wasn’t that. The presentation alone told the story. Lastly, I’m a picky eater… but I SMASHED this food. 😂 Nothing left on the plate. Mansfield, TX — we’ve got a real Southern food spot, and it’s worth every penny.
