  The HEB pharmacy in Manor, Texas disrespected me, in my opinion, when I was told “you just don’t understand” as I was trying to determine the cost of my medication and fill a prescription. Then the pharmacist who said he had “been listening” was no better. I had been without my medication for 6 days due to the bureaucracy between this HEB pharmacy and the Tricare Express Script Mail Order Pharmacy! This is the only pharmacy where I experienced unsympathetic and unkind treatment. Other pharmacies, CVS, Target, and even other HEB pharmacies were helpful, but not this one! I understand the current high costs of drugs but I do not like to be disrespected especially when I served this country for 30 years in the military. Although my doctor intervened and authorized an emergency 30-day prescription this pharmacy told me to come back in 3 weeks and they could tell me the cost of this medication. I plan to return in 3 weeks.

  I would like to recognize the fresh produce staff member, Manny. It is a rainy day, and I am going through a lot, so I decide to make a quick trip to HEB to get some groceries. Normally, I don’t eat oranges, but for some reason I want oranges today. I am looking around trying to figure out which ones are good since I have no idea what to pick. Manny notices me and kindly asks if I need help finding anything. I tell him I am just looking around, and he shows me an interesting orange-colored fruit that I have never tried before. He suggests I give it a try, and I end up buying four of them 🤣🤣🤣 and I will most likely buy them again in the future if I see them! Not only that, but he also gives me lots of helpful tips about HEB since I am still pretty new to shopping there. His kindness and friendliness truly make my day and help me feel so much better than I did before leaving home. I just want to say thank you and show my appreciation for his attentiveness and great customer service! I completely forget to mention his name at the register, so I want to write it here. He says to mention Manny, who works in fresh produce - the Asian guy with the long ponytail. I hope he gets recognized for his hard work!

  Visited 4/9 for a curbside pickup. I pulled in just after it finished pouring raining but was still drizzling a bit. As I pulled up and looked around I noticed several people standing around their vehicles. I could sense some frustrations and assumed they had been waiting a while. I waited about 10 minutes and noticed that no groceries were being brought to vehicles. I just came from work so was in a rain Pancho and rain boots and decided I didnt mind getting wet. I felt it would be considerate of me to save them the trip to the car in the bad weather. I went ahead walked up to door where they come out with the groceries. I was met by the manager, Joey. I started to explain to him I didnt mind taking my own groceries and would love to save them the hassle. He was obviously agitated, and before I even finished my offer, he completely dismissed me, threatened to close the door on me and not bring out anyone's groceries if I didnt get back in my car. I stood there silently for a second in confusion and surprise and he reiterated that i needed to get back in my car. His response was unprofessional, rude, unprovoked and very uncalled for. His actions and lack of emotional control have left me deciding I will rather inconvenience myself with the extra 10 minute to the next closest HEB before bring my business back to this location.

  It’s a large, clean HEB. It’s well stocked and the employees were nice. We ran in two minutes before closing in formal wear after a wedding just to get some cake and late night snacks. They could have easily told us we weren’t allowed to come in but they didn’t. We got the snacks and it made for a great night. The individual cake slices made in house were great! Best tres leches of all the HEB bakeries from round rock to south Austin.

  Great grocery store overall. Always well stocked with plenty of options across produce, snacks, and everyday essentials. Store is clean and organized which makes it easy to get in and out without wasting time with ample parking spaces. Produce and fresh items are usually in great condition. Staff has been friendly and checkout moves pretty efficiently even when it gets busy. Parking is easy and there’s plenty of space. It can get crowded during peak hours, but that’s expected. Solid go-to spot for groceries.
