  I had heard great things about True Texas BBQ at H-E-B from my girlfriend. When we arrived Saturday to do some shopping, I decided to finally test it out. I was overwhelmed by the menu—it all sounded great—but thankfully an employee named Joe was there to guide us through some great options. Let me tell you, we have had some of the best BBQ in Texas, and this place really impressed us. True Texas BBQ, and Joe’s friendliness and genuine personality, led to a phenomenal experience overall. This kind of service is why we come to H-E-B, and we look forward to our next meals at True Texas BBQ!

  5 stars across the board the food speaks for itself, but Eddie truly made my experience unforgettable. He went above and beyond in every sense, and that kind of genuine hospitality is rare. This place is lucky to have him. Give that man a raise!

  We ordered a smoked turkey breast over the holidays. When picking it up there was some confusion finding the order, but once got it & took home it was delicious! Looking forward to another one soon!

  Staff is beyond helpful with selections and substitutions if something is not available. The BBQ is definitely worth the drive will definitely have to revisit soon!

  Honestly very underrated BBQ inside H-E-B. My wife was hungry (go figure) while grocery shopping so we decided to grab a quick bite. Didn't come in with high expectations but ended up very pleasantly surprised. We had chicken, brisket, collard greens, brisket chilli and beans. Everything was great, but the brisket was just a little bit dry. Overall I'd take this BBQ over some other options in the area.
