Lemons, raspberries, and all kinds of fruit available, but there were great prices on beef too! What really sold the experience was the great cashier's AND bagging service. Well done!

The store is way under par.
It is poorly arranged, outdated & very crowded & tight. The only way to enter the store is to come through the front doors and immediately have to turn right and go through a single aisle that winds around through the produce department. This is very congested & hard to maneuver especially if you are in a wheelchair. The produce vegetables are rarely fresh or good quality. Many items are out of stock. Last week I bought ground sirloin that was completely brown on the inside with a thin layer of red meat on the outside. I have pictures.

I’ve always had good experience with this particular H-E-B except for today. It wasn’t too bad, but I do have a bit of a tif with a manger, he’s tall and skinny and about 30yrs old. I bring in my registered ESA puppy who’s in training and does amazing work there on a regular basis. I have never had anyone say or comment about her unless it was good things. I could understand staff having a problem if my dog was doing something bad, but she wasn’t. She was doing her job by resting on my chest, a training technique called Deep Chest Therapy. The manager (a man I believe who is a manager based on how he spoke) came up to me and told me I’m not allowed to have her in. I was quite confused. He just immediately jumped the bat that she’s not allowed inside. I said I’ve always brought her in and have made sure with the other staff she was no problem. After the fact he asked if she’s a service dog and I told him she’s an ESA and of course he backed off. It was his approach to the situation and the immediate get her out of my store attitude that I did not like. That being said, I’d appreciate if this manager worked on his social skills and has a more open mind. Just because a dog is a puppy does not mean they’re not in the service work or going through training. My dog goes to the hospital all the time and the staff never say a word about her nor has any other grocery store or any other store for that matter. So please, if you see a dog not acting like a service dog then by all means say something, if not then follow the law and don’t demand me to remove my dog.
Additionally today 9/5/25 some lady in the bakery section told me she was not allowed inside despite her being a service dog in training. And told me she’s not allowed to be in there if she’s under training and that she had to be on the floor, not in a basket in a blanket. My dog is 4 pounds. She is small! I have paid $5,000 for my SERVICE DOG! This is getting ridiculous! The law states if the dog is too small, she does not have to be on the floor. I have spent too much money getting her registered as a service dog, ESA, and now a PSD as well to be kicked out of the store under a federally protected law! This is getting ridiculous! I am very upset!

HEB is the only store that carries Colby Longhorn Cheese so I drive 35 minutes out of my way to shop there.
