The only drawback is that there are fewer name brand products available at HEB. This isn't necessarily a real problem because they do have many of their own branded products but if you go there looking for a specific brand item they may not have it. This is true especially if you are looking at produce, milk, eggs, bacon, cheese, etc.

In any major city HEB is the best place to go, but the one in Lufkin continues the trend of turning decent/good chains into the worst versions of themselves. If you're going in there for less than 15 items or want to spend more time in line than shopping, its passable. If not, go to Walmart, Brookshire Brothers, target. Hell even if you do have the time to wait, just drive to Nacogdoches and go to Kroger its cheaper and faster. There's no reason why a store that spent at least a year with an inconvenient remodel should only have 2 non express lanes open, blocking the aisles and having people with 20 items wait 30min-1hr just to check out. On top of the fact that yall happily allow the situation to get so bad it becomes a safety hazard. This store needs better management, crew, and layout before I ever give this place another dime.
