  When they said they have cheese fries…I thought I was gonna be fries loaded with melted cheese ontop….no. You get a side of fries and a small cup of nacho cheese. Not what i expected (or wanted) at all. The sandwich was okay, nothing crazy. And not to mention, when they call out orders, they don’t have a microphone, so they just yell and hope you hear your number being called. It’s hard to hear though because there are so many people.

  1st greeted with Isaac who took our order. He repeated our order back to make sure everything was correct. Food came out quickly, hot & it was delicious. I got the croissant beef & cheese with a side of au jus was so good! My husband got the chili cheese dog & loved it. He got a chocolate cake shake & says it was amazing. I also got the lemon cake that is made in store daily it was delicious moist & not too sweet. There was a nice young man Elijah working the dining room & he made sure to check on us & was very nice.

  I just thought it wasn't impressive. The workers are nice and service was fast through the drive-thru. The food itself just wasn't that good. I've had better chili dogs at Weinerscnitzel and Sonic 🤷‍♀️

  Ordered the Chicago dog and a beef sandwich with peppers hot and spicy. Everything was phenomenal freshly made. Defiantly will be back wanna try the sausage beef sandwich. Haven't had a proper Chicago dog in a long time glad I was able to find a a spot with them.

  I visited Portillo’s for the first time today and was disappointed. The Chicago Dog was good and the Italian Beef sandwich was just okay. During my order, the cashier called at their manager repeatedly to come over, only to comment on how tall I am. The manager is tall too. Big deal. Very obnoxious behavior. I ordered a number #1 and noticed that the price was MUCH higher than the listed price. It turns out that the cashier rang up a large drink and large fries without asking me what size I would like. They also asked if I would like peppers but, conveniently, did not mention that the sweet and hot peppers are $2 extra. After my purchase, I saw that this is mentioned nowhere on the menu. To be fair, self-order kiosks are more transparent about pricing. The Italian Beef sandwich was a decent portion but overall fairly dry. I was told later that it can be ordered “wet” or with sauce, but this did not save my lunch. Perhaps the cashier could have focused on being helpful instead of upselling and commenting on my appearance.
