Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Customers frequently praised the burgers for being delicious, fresh, and hot, although some reported issues with cold or poorly prepared food.
Service Speed
Many reviews highlighted slow service, particularly during busy hours, with several customers expressing frustration over long wait times.
Order Accuracy
A significant number of customers reported issues with incorrect orders, including missing items and wrong modifications.
Staff Attitude
While some reviews commended the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, others noted a lack of attentiveness and poor customer service experiences.
Cleanliness
The restaurant was generally described as clean and well-kept, contributing positively to the dining experience.

I have been there several times and the order has been correct and the way I ordered it. It tastes great and good for the price. I have ordered burgers and chicken strips with gravy. Everything was great!

Best value for the price. We compared the Original Whataburger meal to the Double Quarter Pounder of McD and Whatsburger wins out. Both burgers were fresh but the condiments of W were more plentiful. McD fries are good but cool and half of the W amount. Table service always has a great addition even in a fast food setting. Way to go Whataburger!!

I'd like to know why this location is displaying a sign saying "Family owned since 1950"? Seems to me Whataburger sold out to a private equity company in 2019. As far as I am concerned, Whataburger has been in steady decline since the sale. The only redeeming moment was the introduction of the Hatch Green Chili Cheeseburger and, of course, in their infinite wisdom, it was discontinued never to return.

Went thur the drive through, 1st of all I placing my order and the no one answers, when a person finally comes to the car and takes the order, I proceed by telling her the outside screen is not working and she ignores me, so she takes my order, I leave and we notice that its cold, no cheese and just plain nasty. Those people there dont give a damm about the people ordering as long as they get payed, I will never go there again, THEY SUCK.
