Came down to lake Livingston for a vacation with my entire family, 15 people. I needed to order 2 standing rib roasts, so I called 2 weeks before arriving and ordered the meat specifically explaining how important it was because of the amount of people and it being the main “fancy” dinner. I was given a choice between select, choice and prime so I ordered choice. I get there to pick it up and was told they didn’t do my order because they didn’t get choice in and didn’t know if I wanted select or prime. So instead of calling me to ask, they just didn’t do it. Good thing there’s a local butcher shop here. It’s gonna be more expensive, but at least I’ll get the meat I need to feed my family.

Some days, I would rate 5 stars. Usually their staff is friendly. About every 4th visit, I get a checkout person who obviously hates their job, but I get a friendly person the other three. They have the freshest produce and best selection in town.

I was expecting a much bigger store. You know the saying everything is bigger in Texas. I wasn't impressed but the associates were very nice and helpful as this was my first visit to H E B.
