Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Customers generally enjoyed the burgers and fries, but there were complaints about cold food and inconsistent quality.
Service Speed
Service speed was a common issue, with many customers reporting long wait times, especially in the drive-thru.
Staff Friendliness
Most reviews praised the staff for being friendly and helpful, although some noted instances of rudeness.
Cleanliness
While many customers appreciated the cleanliness of the restaurant, there were serious complaints about unsanitary conditions in some locations.
Pricing
Several customers expressed concerns about high prices, feeling that the cost of meals was not justified.

First let me say as a Previous manager for a major retailer near you I was furious of the service we received being new to the area ...my Husband went in to pay for 2 cups of ice just to have the cashier charge him 5.38 ...I went in ask why would you guys charge us $5 for ice? ..The nasty disgusting shift leader Joshua said that the cashier made a mistake however we do charge $1.50 for the first cup and the second cup is free...So I asked for a refund? However I felt they didn't provide the best of service so I ask what for their names ...Joshua tells us he can give out the kids name who made the mistake with an attitude so I proceed to talk with manager who didn't know what was going until after I told him .So Richard apologize for the mistake and very Professional and gave us the ice for free..We didn't nine paying for the ice but for that cost is insane!!!! .I say this to say ...I think they all need more training and how to problem solve and use common sense where which obviously shows they don't have any; instead of making your establishment lose money over something so simple ..My family spend a lot of money with Whataburger from Arlington all the way to East Texas where we are new to the area and we felt less than a customer...I don't know who raised those kids there but I think they need to go back home and start over...I will never return there...Thanks Richard for being the example they need even if you'll not appreciated ..Keep doing God's Work because I know some of them working under you need some Jesus!! ......
