They put Reese’s peanut butter cups in my son’s M&M’s Sonic Blast. He has a peanut allergy, and we didn’t realize what had happened until he had already eaten a significant amount.
I understand that cross-contamination can happen, but this wasn’t a trace issue—this was a substantial amount of the wrong ingredient added to the order. That’s very different from an accidental mix-up or shared equipment exposure.
Situations like this can be dangerous. Staff need to be aware that food allergies exist and take care when preparing orders, especially when specific items are requested. No one is expecting extreme measures like sanitizing machines between every order, but making sure the correct ingredients go into a customer’s order is a basic and reasonable expectation.
I hope this can be addressed so it doesn’t happen to another family.

This is one of the worst Sonics known for forgetting your food and taking FOREVER! Once more food places come to Lavon I don’t see this Sonic lasting. Always check your food here before driving off.

This afternoon i ordered sonic for me and my boyfriend, when food was arriving i watched as Nia our carhop brought out our food, but due to high winds the bag with our fries in them flew and some dropped out, i watched as she promptly picked them up and rush back inside, shortly after getting our food i noticed our fires were not replaced. Now i put no blame on Nia as she did try to go back inside i think management may have told her it wasn’t worth the new fries and to just give them to us. i find this absolutely repulsive, ive worked at 2 different sonic’s through my teenage years and not once have i seen something so disrespectful. will not be coming back:)
