Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Recommend this restaurant service was good employees very polite, happy with service, place was clean.

Came here for dinner with my husband, and it was a really bad mistake. I ordered the #1 and he ordered the #4. Both of the hamburger meat were cold. He complained about his since it had cheese on it which was never going to melt. We also had to deal with them deciding to scrub the floors while we were there. While we are eating we are having to smell the chemicals they are using. Also our feet were getting wet due to the water. They then decided to use a vacuum to dry the floor so we couldn't have a conversation, because we could no longer hear each other. We have always come to this location since it's open 24 hours inside, but this really didn't sit well with us at all tonight. They should have locked the doors, and put a note on the door saying the dining room is closed temporarily while we scrub the floors. Not a good move on their part at all. We shouldn't have had to eat our food while it tasted of the chemicals we were smelling.

Sorry, I hate leaving bad reviews but something has got to change and not just at this location. I hate that corporate has made drive thrus implement a two lane system. Why are people taking orders outside if the lines aren't even moving? Seems like since 2020 the fast food industry has lacked quality and customer service. I dont know if it's the pay or angry customers that make the employees not take pride in their work. I have worked at a couple fast food chains years ago and yeah the pay was not the best and occasionally had a nasty customer. At the end of the day no one is making you work there! So please, cook the food and serve it in a timely manner.

I pulled up to Whataburger thinking I was just getting food… but nah, this was an experience.
First off, it’s basically a Texas landmark at this point. You don’t just eat here—you participate. The line was long, like “did everyone in the city have the same idea?” long—but somehow it kept moving. Not fast enough to question your life choices, but just fast enough to keep the faith alive.
When I got to the speaker, the employee hit me with that smooth “Whataburger, what can I get for you?” like they already knew I was about to order way more than I needed. No judgment, just support for my bad decisions.
Now let’s talk about the food. I ordered a Whataburger like a true professional, plus fries, and somehow a few extra items because self-control left the chat. When I got the bag… it had presence. Like, you could feel the importance of what was inside.
That burger? HUGE. Not those “looks good in pictures but disappointing in real life” burgers—this one actually showed up. Juicy, fresh, and built like it had something to prove. The veggies were crisp, the bun was soft, and everything tasted like it was made right then and there, not pulled out of some mystery drawer.
The fries? Hot, salty, and doing exactly what they needed to do. No complaints, no notes—just vibes.
And listen… if you’ve had that spicy ketchup, you already know. If you haven’t, I don’t know what you’re doing with your life. That stuff should be illegal with how addictive it is. I was dipping everything in it like I was trying to get my money’s worth out of the sauce alone.
Also, shoutout to the fact that my order was correct. Not missing items, not “close enough”—everything was there. That’s rare these days, and I appreciate it more than I probably should.
Overall, Whataburger didn’t just feed me—it reminded me why people are loyal to this place like it’s a sports team. It’s not just food… it’s a commitment.
10/10. Would absolutely pull up again at any hour like I don’t have groceries at home.
