- GKGrouse K91 day ago4.0I've been to many of the Willie's over the years, but this is the first time here. It was just as shabby chic as all the rest so it felt comfortable and familiar. Same process: order food, get your drink, and wonder why you tip the food runner if you do everything else. Well, this is the way it works these days. The only difference from the others is the EXPLOSION of road noise. This opens right up onto a very heavy service road right next to a powerful south Austin flow of I-35. It is LOUD. Get your rowdy voice on when you come here. This time, I went with the fried seafood platter which came with a couple pieces of catfish and a half dozen shrimp. Cooked on point and tasty. Also came with a side of fries and very nice cole slaw. Overall, a good meal, but I doubt I would put up with the noise headache again. Too many other spots to explore.

I love that you can get a generous side of steamed veggies on the side for only a few dollars. Nice patio/ tables near patio for fresh air. Service is attentive.

He knew the menu well, gave great recommendations, and checked in at all the right times. Our food and drinks came out perfectly, and Ayden’s positive attitude really set the tone for the day or night. Customer service like this is hard to find—Willie’s is lucky to have him. We’ll definitely be back and asking for Ayden again!
