My wife ordered a sandwich that normally comes with turkey sausage, but she did not want it, so she asked for it to be left off. I noticed that the price did not decrease. It stayed exactly the same. I mentioned it to the cashier, and she said the price stays the same even if you remove an item. So I asked if we could substitute avocado instead, and she said yes. But when she entered it into the system, the price went up by another one dollar and eighty cents. I told her that was not right because we are being charged for sausage we are not taking, and then being charged extra again for the substitution. Companies should not be making customers pay for something they are not receiving. Either reduce the price or allow substitutions at no cost when the value is equal, or simply charge the small difference. That is fair. What happened here was not. One star for ripping people off. I really cannot stand when companies do this. Next time we will just take the unwanted item and give it to our dog or throw it away. If we are forced to pay for it, we can do whatever we want with it, but the company should not keep it and make a profit off something we never received. I strongly believe it is wrong for any business to charge customers for an item they will not receive. This experience was disappointing and unfair. I suggest customers take their business elsewhere!!!
