I’ve been shopping at H-E-B for years and have always had great experiences, but today was extremely disappointing. When I got in line, the cashier, Alanacia B, didn’t greet me at all not even a simple “hello.” Instead, she immediately began throwing my groceries around carelessly. My daughter even asked, “Why is she throwing our groceries?” and honestly, I didn’t have an answer. It didn’t stop there she continued tossing items roughly while bagging, and then threw them down at the end of the lane for us to load into our cart. When it was time to pay, she tapped the card reader with attitude as if to say, “Hurry up and pay,” with zero acknowledgment or thank you. To top it off, she rolled a pumpkin down the end of the counter, which broke the stem — again, no apology or concern. I’ve never experienced such poor customer service at any H-E-B. I understand everyone has bad days, but I spend my hard earned money here and expect to be treated with basic respect, especially when I’m being polite and respectful in return. Very disappointed in how this was handled. I hope this is addressed so future customers don’t have to go through the same experience.
