Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Every. Single. Time. For about the past year the food takes forever and isn't fresh when I get it. Literally not even close to what it used to be.half an hour for cold fries.....

I love this place but it's the 2nd time our medium fries were only half full. Never have issues until it's a takeout order

Staff was very fun to be around - very hospitable and efficient as well. Store was very clean and food was fresh, not too hot and fries were cook-to-order temp. 10/10 recommend

This location was actually fantastic; we went in instead of going through the drive-thru, because we've observed at pretty much every fast food place except coffee shops there's always a line and it always takes forever. From the time we ordered to when we got our food was in line with other fast food places. The young gentleman who served us was great, and when we mentioned the drive-thru situation his manager said it's the unfortunate reality of fast food these days. People overwhelm the drive-thru and many locations are operating on skeleton crews even during peak hours so they get a lot of complaints about the food taking forever at the drive-thru which is supposed to be faster. My reduction to 3 stars comes from 2 factors, both relating to the food itself. We ordered 3 doubles, 2 triples, and 1 single with 2 sides of fries, 2 sides of onion rings, and 2 ordered of the prickly pear raspberry drink and the total was over 2x as much as we'd pay at other fast food places for similar items. Secondly, the quality of the food did not justify the price. It wasn't bad by any means, but it was not 2x better than a McD's or BK. They also barely filled our fries and onion rings, and I ended up giving my prickly pear drink to my spouse because it doesn't say anywhere on the advertisement for it that it's made with lemonade; strong lemonade, too, which I really do not like. I wouldn't have ordered it if I had known, it almost felt like a waste. And every fast food place that has similar drinks says "that's made with lemonade, is that okay?" or something similar that otherwise informs me of that fact, in which case I'll either decline or ask if it can be made with water (at places I know they make drinks to order, not probably having a huge batch of it pre-made like I think the prickly pear drink is) because I know I don't like it. Can't imagine the disappointment if I didn't have someone who loved it to give it to, you know? Overall the employees were fantastic, the place was clean, and going in we had the expected wait time. But the quality of the food is not worth what they're charging for it.
