It was our toddler’s birthday and we were deciding between this and Cheesecake Factory to celebrate. We chose this place due to the great reviews and experience/ atmosphere described suited for children. However, it was not worth it. There were plenty of empty tables so we sat down right away. Our waiter was also working the bar area. He got our drinks right away upon sitting and then took over 15 minutes in coming back to take our food order, I had to wave him down. Then it took longer than 20 minutes to get our food. The manager was bringing our food, but at different times. The birthday boy received his plate last. One dish was salmon and shrimp and it was missing the shrimp. We also ordered a side of shrimp that came out once we had finished eating. The food was decent, but definitely not worth it for the service. It ruined my son’s experience and will not be coming back.

We went for our grandson first birthday thinking it could be enjoyable for him. His awww at the statues and ceiling light show is the best part of the evening, with service at 2nd place. This saved a 1-2 star review and we don't do many of those. Walked away with a $150 plus tip ticket for 3 adults and the aforementioned 1 year old. No alcohol and a comped cupcake desert (thank you ma'am). $45 steak and shrimp had half of a very fatty steak left over, but the shrimp was fine. Salmon and shrimp on plate 2 was fine. Shrimp plate 3 was fine. Picked up the awesome app, but found that less than awesome. Strips, cheese curds, chim-chims??, and dip. Dip seemed more like onions than spinach and artichoke. Wasn't really sure what the sauces were supposed to accent¿ (sweet buttery sauce, spicy something sauces ×2) for strips, cheese and rolls.... Enjoyed the sweet tea as well. The kiddo enjoyed the cupcake, but actually spit out the whipped cream on top. I tried it and agreed with him. On a side note, the place definitely needs some updates and upkeep. Our bench was broken/ falling off, we had to adjust the table to keep it from wobbling way to much, the light show screen has masking tape on it for repairs, bathroom doors don't all lock and some toilets don't flush, and some soap dispensers are non operational.

My family and I went after church on Easter Sunday. I made a reservation online in case it was busy and we got right in. I’ve been to the one in Grapevine many many years ago. Sometimes these places start to rely heavily on their name and the imagery versus the quality of the place and food. Not this location!!! The food was excellent!! It came out perfectly cooked and warm. Our server Leeyah was amazing, she was very helpful and attentive. The hostess was really nice as well. It was just as fun as I remember it as a kid. We’ll be back!

We were in Katy to visit family. Decided to go to Rainforest Cafe because it looked fun for our kid. Did not have high expectations but this was ridiculous for how much they charge. Waited 10 minutes for a server after we were seated. Drinks from the bar were bad and sent back. Had to ask for utensils when food came. Appetizer was ok, entrees were pretty bad, we each only took a few bites. Server did notice and asked if we wanted something else but we declined because at that point it was just time to go. Went to use the bathroom and it was gross. Got back to table and was still waiting for our check-had to flag down our server to get it. It was not busy and it was clear that we were not eating. Our bill was around $85 for 2 adults and 1 child. We got a kids meal, turkey club, pasta dish, 1 bar drink, 1 appetizer all other drinks were water. Very disappointing and ended up having to feed my child snacks for dinner at 9 pm because he could not eat chicken tenders that tasted like fish. The turkey club also had a fishy taste and the pasta dish was mushy and soggy. Not sure if there was a manager on duty and didn’t have time to ask because it was late and needed to get back to put my kid to sleep. I didn’t expect 5 star service/food but this was unacceptable.

Let me start off by saying thank you for supporting our troops. My husband and I are both combat veterans and we appreciate the discount. Second, I had the taste of the islands player and I was amazed! The shrimp was good, I loved the fish, and the greens beans were amazing. The rice was good too. My husband ordered pasta that originally had Alfredo sauce, but they were able to swap it out with marinara since he doesn't like Alfredo. Tatyanns was out waitress and she was so friendly, I learned we have some music in common. So overall this is a spot we be frequently attending.
