  Just had a terrible experience here. Thursday night 2/26 about 7:30. Sat at the bar. Only one bar area table was there. Bartender never acknowledged me. A server from across the restaurant came and asked if I have been helped. She got my soda and chips n salsa. Meanwhile, the I believe manager was discussing a ticket issue and never acknowledged me either. Once I got my soda, I had to flag down the bartender to ask for a straw. He grunted and pointed to the box of straws across the bar counter bar side which I had to stretch far for. I waited for over 12 minutes for the bartender to ask what I would like to eat, nothing. Then the same server came from the other side of the place and asked if she could help me. The only reason I have 1 ster for service is because the server, lady with blackly hair, went out of her way when she clearly saw I was being ignored. I’d like to thank her but at that point I so annoyed that I just wanted to leave. Paid for my soda and tipped the waitress. I love the food here but will not be back due to the terrible service experience from the bartender and manager specifically. It was really really bad service.

  Jasmin was uniquely attentive and .thorough. she asked clarifying questions and took time to explain. lunch was great!!

  Wow. OTB has really changed. I ordered pick up. Food was ready on time, and the girl at the pick up area was very nice. But their nachos recipe has really changed. Ordered grande chicken fajita nachos. It was eatable, but I probably won't return. And when did they change their salsa recipe to the warm dark salsa that you get at another place (C.L.). Disappointed. Chicken had no flavor. The chips a thin now, and the nachos got smaller. Glad I didn't spend any more than I did.

  I’m new to the area, and after work, I was tired…yet hungry. I was thinking I was coming to get some “ok” tasting food. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious & hit the spot. I’m on a budget and my meal was under $30. If you’re on a budget and want some good tasting food & drinks, then this place is the spot.

  In the past, I visited On The Border frequently. I really enjoyed the chicken fajitas years ago, but the quality had dropped significantly. The location is closest to me, Lewisville and Plano closed and I saw that On The Border was in bankruptcy. I thought one of my previous favorite places would be gone forever. Tonight, I visited the store in Irving for the first time and boy what a surprise! The service was a little slow because they were a little behind, but it was friendly. The food however, was spot on! I couldn’t believe how much better it was than the last time I’ve been to On The Border. One of the managers assisted us to help with the backlog. After the meal, I spoke with a manager, whose name is Deanna. She is super friendly and you can tell that she cares so much about the Restaurant and her On The Border family. She told me something I didn’t know. Apparently, On The Border was purchased out of bankruptcy by the Pappas group. Ironically, my absolute favorite chicken fajitas are at Pappasito’s. I hadn’t placed it before then, but On The Border’s new and improved chicken fajitas are very similar to Pappasitos but it a much lower price. Deanna informed us That since Pappa’s purchased On The Border, they now use fresh chicken instead of frozen. There were many other menu updates and it’s all coming together excellently! I’m so excited that one of my old favorites has reworked the menu and is under new leadership aggressively making improvements! If the food and managers like Deanna Are an insight into the future of this brand, I think the future is bright! It’s the first time in a long time I’ve left a restaurant and the conversation on the way out was “so when can we come back?” Thank you, Deanna and thank you to the new On The Border!
