We were in town for a conference and ate at Gloria's because it was in walking distance. There were 8 people in our party. During a break we were sat promptly only waiting 5 or so minutes despite an entire conference releasing for a lunch break. I had the spicy steak dish that was amazing. The steak was perfectly cooked, the accompanying beans were creamy without being watered down and having great flavor, my rice was perfectly cooked and seasoned well, and the sweet tea was sweet without being over powering. One of my friends had the Steak Salad, he was pleased with the portion size and the dressing that came with it. All in all it was a fantastic experience and if I lived closer I would most certainly be dinning here again.

Food was delicious/great service but i wanted to point out that ripe plantains and fried plantains are not the same thing. “Ripe plantain” refers to the stage of the plantain—it’s sweet and usually cooked when the peel is black or mostly black. “Fried plantain” just describes the cooking method, which can be done with either ripe or green plantains.
The flavor and texture are completely different, so it would be helpful if the menu made that distinction clear. Otherwise, customers might be expecting sweet, ripe plantains and end up with something entirely different. I would like to say thank you to Alex for his service. He is awesome.

If I could give the service a -5 I would. Me and friend went to Gloria's. The host said the wait was 15 or 20 mins. We said ok we gave her my friends name and number the host then stayed to let her know if we ended up changing our minds. 25 mins go by and we ask the host how long it will be before we were seated and she acted as if she didn't take any of our info then goes to talk to another employee who said that she texted us and got no reply. They ended up seating us anyway because a text was never sent then the manager for the night tells us that they tried calling us and got no answer which was still incorrect because we never got a call either. Instead of being a butt all they had to do was either we got the wrong number for you or the host forgot to put you in. Either way you go my first time here was the worst experience.

I love this restaurant franchise. First time at the one in Irving. We had to order our drinks 4 different times. The first waitress said she had to check, another waitress came back and took our order, she never showed back up but a man did and took our order AGAIN, all for it to be wrong when he brought it… Ordered again plus our food but got worried 5 mins in and called the manager to let him know what was going on… I appreciate his understanding so he gave us the drinks on the house. The first waitress came back with our food and anything else we needed which was nice… The manager also came with her and checked in on us… I appreciated him doing that.. It was a redemption from what we had been going through because I love this restaurant and I never had an issue no matter how many different ones I have been to… I’m fair and understanding, I’m the type to not even send my food back when I’m unhappy but this was a little much for my man and I but I’m glad the manager redeemed the restaurant in some nice gestures.
