Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Also, Whataburger has some of the best shakes. Yesterday I asked if they could do half chocolate half strawberry. They were happy to oblige. It was so thick and delicious, 10/10 recommend if you enjoy chocolate covered strawberries.

During the drive-thru order, one of the employees started laughing and making fun of the way someone in the car was speaking because of their accent. It was clearly audible, and another employee had to quickly take over the headset and apologize. This kind of behavior is unacceptable in any professional setting, especially in a place that serves people from different backgrounds every day. Everyone deserves respect and kindness, no matter how they speak. Ironically, the customer being mocked for their accent speaks three languages 🤷🏻♀️ something that should be admired, not ridiculed. I truly hope the management provides proper customer service and sensitivity training to prevent this from happening again. 🚫 Zero Star for Drive Thru service October 16, 2025
